i'm currently 23 weeks preg with my second child i have a little girl whos 5 and a boy on the way. I was in size 16-18 (uk) when i got preg with my little girl and the have been trying for four years to get preg with this little one due to depression and having aggrophopia i've grown to a huge 24-26 (uk). I got help for my depression and aggrophobia which sometimes does rear it's evil head but not to the extreme as before and started to loose weight about half a stone and tad dah baby no 2. i'm currently seeing a dietican to help my weight stay down whilst preg but i've always been a big girl even when i was little but i'm deffo not happy being a size 24-26 so once baby is here i'm going to seek help what ever i can get. but on the plus side i have no other health problems just abit of low blood pressure xx

I am plus size and at 28 weeks and a few days. I have always been quite big my whole life but now that I am pregnant I have gained what feels like 50 lbs. (actually I've only gained 15lbs...) and I feel like people look at me and think man shes really big and not know that I'm pregnant. When people stare I just want to say I'm fat and pregnant get over it!!!!!!!!! But honestly who cares what people think because I am bringing a beautiful life into this world and that is so much more important than being "cute pregnant" or "skinny pregnant" with a cute "baby bump" The only important thing to me is I am having my son in 2 and a half months!!!! =] good luck to all of you!

So im 31 weeks preg and have lost 12lbs this preg and have not gained anything back..im really excited its been hard for me to lose weight since like 2007. So I figure if I dont gain any weight the rest of the preg I should lose about 25lbs (give or take) when the baby is born right???? I looked up onlibe where all the weight is gained and its basically between the baby, placenta, water weight and a few other things. Plus im going to breastfeed this baby so hopefully that will also help with weight loss. Anyone else lose about 15lbs during preg and keep it off???

I don't think I am the first to say this but... Yay I'm not alone. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant. Have been overweight my whole life and like I have read before, and just said to my husband before finding this thread... " I wish people could tell I was pregnant and not just fat" And of course my husband says... "That would be cool, But you look sexy to me no matter what" This is my 3rd pregnancy... having had 2 prior C-sections, this baby will be one too. Im older too, so I am considered High Risk. I just have to say how happy I am to have found more women like me

I had an emergency c section with my first. Wasnt because of my weight, was because she was trying to come down the tunnel with the wrong side of her head, and I stopped dilating. My doctor never indicated that it was due to my weight. My 2nd was a scheduled section.. my choice.. I could have tried for a v bac if I wanted.

Me too - still have baby weight and was in the process of dieting (about to go on a strict 600 calorie per day diet) and found out that I have someone else on board so have just been healthier.

It's nice to have other ladies about who are the same

It's awesome to know Im not alone! I was plus size before I got pregnant, and I know Im definately plus size now..lol..The only problem I've had with that though, is trying to find plus size maternity clothes around here..lol..I've had a really rough pregnancy, I've been getting sick since the day after we found out I am pregnant, but I've never had any problems with the baby..Every time I go to my appointments, they are always saying how healthy my pregnancy is..We are having a little girl and she is extremely healthy..She is always very active and kicking like crazy..Im always taking vitamins though..I have my prenatal, an iron supplement, and women's one a days..So far it has made my baby super healthy..They say its harder n us plus size women when being pregnant, but really it's harder on any women..I only have 3 months left now and I am counting down the days until I meet my daughter..One thing to always remember when pregnant, keep your chin up and hope and pray for the best..We all have the same odds in pregnancy, I don't really think weight has everything to do with it

So I have always been over weight. I was my heaviest at 230 before I got pregnant. Now I am only 5'1 so that is pretty heavy. I went to the hospital and I was told I may have a fatty liver so I stopped eating crap like fries and soda. I then went from 230 to a 189 in about two months. I have always been irregular with my cycles so it is normal for me to go two months in a row then miss three then have one. So we weren't sure if I was pregnant. Truthfully I didn't show any signs of morning sickness or my boobs hurting. So after three months of missing my period I took a test and it was positive. We were so happy.

So I really haven't gained most of my weight back. My pregnancy has been pretty easy. I haven't had a lot of morning sickness nor my boobs hurting nor any of the more worse symptoms. I will be 32 weeks on Thursday and at my last appointment two weeks ago I weighed 199 which is pretty good considering how big I am. I will never be one of those super skinny women but I am super glad that I look pregnant.

I definitely feel for you guys who don't look pregnant and I do know how it feels to watch others have kids. My husband and I have been trying for three years. Hooray for us ladies that have CURVES!!!!

It is both because of where you carry the baby and where you carry your weight. I carry my weight around my waistline. I really didn't look pregnant until my uterus grew big enough to pass my waistline. Now my daughter sits right below my boobs so I look really pregnant and I will be 32 weeks on Thursday.
