Glad to see im not alone
Im 26 and pregnant with my 3rd child. My daughter is 7 and my son is 2, and since i never lost the baby weight with my son, i feel extremely massive this pregnancy (and look it too). Iv been pretty depressed throughout this pregnancy also. Iv had a few problems: Over active Thyroid, and Placenta praevia, and iv been blaming myself for it. Just thinking that maybe if i was big, then i wouldnt have any problems at all.

Idk if I could really be considered plus sized. I've always felt that way since I put on like 40lbs (depo-provera shot is EVIL.) It doesnt help that my last school year I was litterally surrounded by skinny girls that are either cheerleaders or play sports. Grr. But I am 5 foot 1 and luckily have stayed at a steady 160 lbs in these first 3 months of pregnancy. I can fit into a size 14 on a good day but my SO loves me the way I am and it does help my self esteem ))
YOU ARE ALL B E A U T I F U L!!

Yay more plus size preggo moms. I too was trying to drop some pounds before conceiving again. But that didn't happen. I pray I fit gain very much either. This is my third pregnancy and I envisioned myself somewhat smaller so that my kids could really see my belly grow. But they are still just as excited and so I am. Our due dates are 3 days apart. Have a good and happy pregnancy

Are you showing a lot?

Big Mommas unite.... I'm now 20 weeks along with my first child a baby girl. Like a of bigger girls on here I never had a normal period. Iwent months without any periods, after getting nagged from the hubby to take better care of myself I went to the doc. She put me on a pill to make me have a period and we'd hoped this would start my cycles to become normal. After being what I thought was only a few days late I took a test and got 2 lines.
Well, at about 6 weeks along I lost 10 pounds... (I'm a BIG MOMMA wieghting at 352 when I found out I was preggos) and at week 9 I started bleeding. Freaking out at the er thinking I was loosing my baby, we learned I had a bleed. (Not uncommon for first times moms and even more common in bigger mommas) So, with the bleed, being sick (mostly carsickness) and still working, I've lost another 5 pounds and holding.
One thing I hate about being pregnant and this big is I don't look pregnant at all. I mean nothing. I've had co-workers ask what I'm doing to lose wieght and you look really good comments. When really all I want is... "Wow You're gonna have a big baby by the size of your belly." I'm still in all my normal clothes. But I went an Avenue.com and found some every cute belly tops in sizes up too 32.
All I can say keep your head up ladies. We may not have the choices of cute clothes or the baby bump but we've got each other.

I've been gaining weight steady through my pregnancy like I was supposed to. No complaints from my dr. Well, I'm 34 week now and my last dr's appt I actually lost 5 lbs since the last appt 2 weeks before. I've been under a lot of stress lately which I guess could lead to that, but the last 2 month are supposed to be the greatest weight gain period, right? Anyone else have a problem with losing weight that late in the pregnancy?

Curious Im just really starting to show I feel I am 18 weeks and was curious since Im a size 18 and already had a bit of a belly if it will take longer for my husband to feel the baby or to see the baby kick from the outside?
quoteposted 5th Oct
I was a size 16 before preg and my husband has been able to feel baby kick since 21 weeks and able to see her kick from outside since like 25 weeks. I havent gained any weight since being preg and im 29 weeks right now so I kinda lost weight but im thinking seeing your not much bigger than me he should be able to see by like 25 - 30 weeks.

Thanks! When does your stomach start getting hard?

d say my lower belly was hard around like 15 weeks when id push a little on it to get through my belly fat lol..but probably the last 6 weeks or so its really popped out and is hard feeling without pushing on it---so itd be like 23 weeks or so for me.

This is my first time being a mom to be and I am a plus size girl. It has created things to be different for me and I wish that at times i could have that "basketball" belly. But to be honest I am happy this way. I have lost weight and now gained to 10 pounds that I should have gained.
It took longer for me to show and now I am showing enough for some people to notice. Like my boyfriend said the only people that would see a difference is someone who sees you everyday.
I am at 28 weeks now and my boyfriend has been feeling the baby move like crazy. He may have had to push harder at first but not anymore.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the information, I am starting out at 14, probably 16 depending on the brand. I am one of those people that just look naturally pregnant especially when I am bloated so I know its going to take time for me to show but its good to know when others around my size are showing. I just can't wait to feel the baby move... I am 10 weeks now almost 11, so it will probably be another couple months but I can wait it out as long as the baby is healthy ! This is my second so I am trying hard to stay on track with my weight and I am actually working out now that I am finally done with the sickness. The thing that kind of stinks, only for me is that I am hungry now most of the time..... good luck ladies and I can't wait for all the fun stuff to come! Oh and my daughter she is 3, we went out to eat and I said man I am full, and she said to me "oh is the baby full" I thought that was the cutest things ever, yes that is me being a proud mama bragging lol!

I am so glad to hear that there are other plus size pregnant ladies out there! I have felt so alone and have had embarrassing moments that I wish I could have shared with someone who understood. BrandiAnne, I too feel like you in that I am bigger than these other ladies so if you feel comfortable enough to talk Im here. I cannot find maternity clothes to fit me and I do not know what to do at this point. My clothes are uncomfortable and I feel like I am wearing the same thing to work every day which is totally embarrassing to me! So far my pregnancy is going smooth except for swollen feet and legs all day long and really sore hips and lower back. Im ready to stay at home

Try some online maternity clothes. Sometimes stores sell sizes a little bigger online.
