re: Plus Size & Pregers

Hi Everyone! I was on here about 5 years ago when I got pregnant with my son. I'm now preggo again and just wanted to stop by and say hi.

Me too..I had lost over 20 pounds....and more to go.....but I'm happy..

You ladies don't talk nearly as much as we used too.. haha

Being plus size is great! I am pregnant with my third child (my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 10 weeks). My son is 4, and we are expecting baby boy #2 in January.I have to have a repeat c section since my son was an emergency c section at 29 weeks. Does anyone worry about complications? I am terrified about blood clots after the c section. I am 5' 6" 240lbs I haven't gained anything yet in this pregnancy and I'm 20 weeks.

Hello all! Plus sized and pregnant with child #3 on the way- to say we were surprised would be an understatement, but we're thrilled  

I've read through some of the past posts and I seem to fit in with a lot of you- lose a bunch of weight then get pregnant. I was lucky during pregnancy though, I didn't gain a lot of weight. With #1 I gained 22 lbs and with #2 my beginning and ending weight were the same. I'm "supposively" 10 weeks pregnant (ultrasound tomorrow will clarify how far along I really am) and I've lost 5 lbs in the last 3 weeks (no morning sickness). Doctor is ok with it because I'm overweight (weighing in at 279 now) and am high risk for gestational diabetes again (had with #2).

Do any of you have any concerns with this pregnancy that you didn't with your others? There will be 5 1/2 yrs difference between child #2 and child #3 and I find myself freaking out like a new mom lol I'm reading all the books, websites, etc and then I'm like, "Why am I reading this? I know all this! I've done this before." I think it's still sinking in that I'm actually pregnant bc I seem to be more paranoid this time around.

Same here ...this is baby #4 for me and theres going to be 7 years between my third and 4th child. I find myself reading all the safety info on things and paying more attention to what I do. Ive even decided to breastfeed and I was def not into it with the first three. I was very worried for approx the first 20 weeks now that im almost 28 weeks ive kinda became less worrysome but still pay attention to how much the baby moves throughout the day. Maybe its because the first three were only 2 years apart and i was 16,19, and 22 when i delivered so maybe i was just too busy and not realizing all the issues that can happen when preg because i was younger. Thank you for posting because now I dont feel like im weird for worrying so much with this baby. Its been a really good preg and I actually havent gained weight Ive losty 10lbs. Awwww your due on my sons bday, who will be 9! I am preggers with my 2nd boy due on Nov 16th , but wouldn't mind if I went early, and I'm tall and now being 33 weeks preggo weights in at 296 and it's depressing! I went to have lunch with my son at school today and one of the little girls said I was fat and I'm like NOOOOOO , I have a baby in my belly lol! I hate that kids are soo honest! I have to work hard after this baby to loose at least 100lbs, cuz I was overweight before I was pregegers! I feel all you guys and it's tough! I was wondering how long it would take for me to look pregnant and for my belly to get hard and it is, but just on top. I have a little pouch from my son and I wished it would have filled out! I hope my next pregnancy will be a girl and I want a cute baby bump as well! Don't worry girls we are big and beautiful and if our men had a problem with it they would have left us a long time ago (at least that's how I look at it)...................Congrats to everyone! 

I am lucky i guess, i am also plus size, i didn't show with my first son at all, he will be 2 two months after his brother is born.

i had four doctors in two states tell me that i would never have children with out losing alot of weight as well as having a surgery to remove alot of scar tissues from a car accident i was in along time ago, as well as PCOS, AND endometriosis. needless to say my boys are miracles, I know god loves me, anyway, im just glad that this time around i am showing a lot more, but this boy is rather larger than his brother was at this stage, not unhealthy so, thank goodness, but still, docs says im looking at some where between a 8 and 10 lb baby at time.

I'm plus size. Im 14weeks and havent gained any weight I actually lost 8lbs the first 2 months. Doc says the baby's heart rate is good, and sence im over weight then its okay. This is my third and haven't lost weight before, it kinda worried me for a bit..This is baby #3 for us.  

I am plus size mom too im 26 weeks pregnant with my second boy, my first pregnancy i started off at 145!!! Yea that went down the drain fast by the time i had anthony i was 190 this time around i started off at 185 and i thought oh im gona eat healthy blah blah blah that crap never works but yea i hate seeing all the skinny minnies with there cute bellies but this time around im gonna wear a bikini top weh i go to the beach if people want to stare o well let them stare my husband thinks im sexy and thats all that matter, BOOO to all the woman who have babies and have there six pack back in a week hahaha!!

i don't know whether or not to consider myself plus sized... the doctors consider me obese because of my bmi.. but i'm only 160 pounds and 5 feet 2 inches.... well, this pregnancy is completely different from my last two.. i was a lot smaller and in better shape.. so it was a completely different experience.. i'm 20 weeks right now and barely showing because of all the extra weight on my tummy.. also.. i can feel the baby moving and kicking but my S.O does not.. i was wondering if that is normal? and if so, will he be able to feel baby when i'm further along? just a lot of questions...

haha that's EXACTLY how i feel...I'm 35 1/2 weeks pregnant and started at 185 lbs...I'm now 240 lbs...which for a while had me really upset i have always struggled with my weight even when i was a kid. this is my first baby and my blood pressure has actually gotten better with pregnancy...but i did require surgery at 25 wks pregnant due to appendicitis...and that's when i really started to gain weight... prior to pregnancy i had lost 100 lbs to join the military... hopefully i can remember how i did it the first time and do it again  my job kinda depends on it.

lad im not alone i too am pluse size and pregnant with my first i can say i am excited but i wander if ill show or not i hope i do but im excited to be a mommy and cant wait till this baby is born

Wow I so thought I was the only one on here as all I ever seen were the girls with there little bumps, and I thought well that surely won't be me! It does scare me a bit bigger and pregnant but I have done well trying to not put on too much extra weight. I'm now 24wks and and feel pretty good. Hope that ur all doing well!

Im pregnant with my third child and I guess because my children are 2 and 1 and now Im expecting again I never gave so much time to try and lose it all. I ended up back to second pregnancy weight somehow and then lost 16lbs because I was trying so hard not to be that heavy..Its a little scary to be this heavy and knowing i still have so much longer to go with the growing. Im 10 weeks and Ive apparently lost 4 lbs in the last 3 weeks somehow but I dont wanna lose weight right now but really dont want to gain anything over 10lbs lol
