Ya the gestational diabetes test is done more often for us bigger ladies. Ive had to do it twice each time I felt soooooo sick afterwards and just told them I couldnt do it anymore... I know if it came down to it I would if they seriously thought I had it but the 2 timesI took it I passed with flying colors so I just dont see the point of being sick the rest of the day cause of it. Im soooo not into sweet things so that syrupy junk is just overkill to my system!

But congrats on the pregnancy! It goes by soooooo fast!

Dont worry about dropping weight hun! Seriosuly I lost 30 lbs since I got pregnant, 13 lbs in 2 weeks! They had me seeing a nutritionist every 2 weeks the baby always measures a week or 2 ahead though and im told she is a chunky lil thing from the ultrasounds so I stopped worrying   Im now 34 weeks 2 days and I am still 8 lbs below my pregnancy weight.

I was soooo lucky to find this job when I did, when I 1st found out I was pregnant I worked in a bakery and as soon as I found out I told them and they seemed okay with it. As I got further along they still expected me to put the truck away which was lifting 40-60 lb boxes and I flat out refused. So they threatened to fire me, even beyind that they had me doing things I shouldnt, I went home one day cause of baaaaaad cramping and ended up going to the hospital I was put on bedrest for a week due to a "threatened miscarriage" at that point I said screw it and told that place to screw themselves my baby wasnt worth it.

Bleh long story! LoL but now I work at a different place and its great!

LOL I showed hubby that and he says yep thats pretty much all Im going to let u do anyways! Works for me!

My little ones b-day is going to be close to mine too! Mine, my brothers, my brother in laws, my sister in laws, and now my little one are all in August! LoL Guess thats just a bsy time of year for my family!

LOL my lil is gonna be the same way my birthday is October 12th and I am due October 19th... Go figure

I only got tested twice b/c I threw up the glucose so they had to the fasting test. My blood sugar is actually very low though and always has been so they only did it once thank goodness.

That is just crazy and heartless. Even my grandparents won't let me carry any bags! HOw could they expect you to do that? Some people.....

Since your baby measures ahead did they have you get another u/s? My docotr mentioned something about possible getting another one in a few weeks.It kind of bugs methough b/c babies are on their own schedule,ya know? Not every baby is the same weight or height. My mom mentioned that he might want to induce me early b/c of the weight.I told her that if there is no health problem with me or the baby then they can shove it. I would ratherlet him bake for as long as possible then induce just b/c he is a little bigger.Lol my vagina can take it.

Ugh that sucks. I am so baffled by women who like that stuff! It was like drinking pure flavored corn syrup to me. I seriously didn't even make past 15 minutes with that stuff in my system.I was even sick for a day or two afterwards.

Ya it was a shitty place... 1st time I quit a job without notice but my baby is worth more then that place will ever be!

They havent done another ultrasound yet they said they might do one next time I go in on the 17th, she has been measuring about 2 weeks ahead for most of my pregnancy but they have only moved my due date by 2 days... I think cause the place I go to is run mostly by modwives and it just overseen by a dr they do things differently cause they havent said anything about inducing cause she is too big. I def dont want that she will come when she is good and ready!

With my first I gained alot of weight and my ob was always on me about gaining. I always took it personally however I now wish I would have been more on top of my weight and not gained so much. My son is four and I still have not been able to loose the weight I gained plus I am now pregnant again. I would just try to not take it personal. they would say the same thing to a thin woman who was pregnant and gaining to much weight. or atleast my doctor would. Plus with being plus size you have more of a chance to have more complications at delivery and during pregnancy. But you sound like you are doing good with the walking at wal mart and stuff.

This is my first pregnancy in the summer, and I agree with all of you ladies, it sucks!!! When it's in the 90's its so hard to get up and go walkiing no matter what time of day it is. I have been trying to go early morning or when the sun goes down. With me being overweightbefore this preganacy I wanted to keep active to keep the extra weight off that I didn't need to gain. the other two Igained between 60-80lbs, but i was younger and skinny then.My last two were in the Spring, April and May, I loved it!! Of course all three of my pregnancies were not planned, lolol.....but that is how it goes with me.
About big babies. My first one was 81 the next boy was 9 2, I was hoping with a 17yr gap this baby would be smaller, but the doctor informed me that the age difference doesn't matter. I have been measuring 5 cm more each time I am measured. Which is an idicator that this baby is big.....My husband wants me to go on the 4th of july, i was late with the other two, so I am not getting my hopes up....if it happens it will be nice, but if not oh well.....i don't sleep now so what's another two more weeks,   I hope all you ladies who are due in the first half of july go soon.
