OMG my boob is freaking me out- advice please?

Getting reay to get i nthe bath and I noticed my left boob is swollen around the nipple. Mostly just the skin of areola is swollen, but a little to my right of the areola as well... and... well... it smells funny. does that make any sense? I'm freaking out here. My right boob is completely normal but the left one, well, the skin on the left one anyway, is swollen. I can like take a pinch of skin and feel the swelling underneath, almost like there's extra fat there, but it just happened this morning. It's a little warmer than the right one too. And there's not as much sensation in the skin that's swollen...

Should I go to the ER? What do I do? HELP PLEASE!?!?! I'm scared!

i dont know i got engorging after i had my son but that was very sore. i dont think you can get it b4 an if its not painful it might just b your boobs filling out, but if your that worried get it checked out. hope that helps.

it's not like the boob itself is swelling really... it's jus the skin... I'm afraid that if I go to the ER though they'll think I'm stupid...

It doesn't help that i can't take myself to the ER right now becaus I lost my glasses and cant see to drive...

ummm...that doesnt sound to freaky...calm down k....ummm you have glands in your aeriola(sp) that produce a substance that some what stinks...but to the baby it smells like amniotic fluid...its one of the things that attracts them to the nipple to eat from it...if is swollen maybe its cuz on of your glands is full(they look kinda like white heads when they are full of the stuff...its this goowy white stuff0 you can get it to come out if you want...but if thats not the case it could be a clogged milk duct under your aeriola thats causing it and in that case i would just call your doc.'s office and tell them wats your experiencing just to get there advice on it...i dont think its anything to serious tho...they will be able to explain it better for you....GOOD LUCK...
