Inversion or Not- NEED ADVICE

posted 3rd Oct
I know that I have seen a post on here before about breech babies and inversion but I can't find it so here we go again. Has anyone had a GOOD experience with inversion? I know the post before had lots of not so good outcomes with it. I am confused on what to do try the inversion or just opt for the c-section. They are pretty sure the baby is breech but I will find out for sure tomorrow at the ultra sound. I need to weigh my options though because afterwards we are meeting with the dr to decide what I want to do. I am 37wks today, is there time still? Should I just go for the c-section?

I have seen a video of it and it really looks traumatic to both mom and baby. I personally wouldn't do it but that is just me. I would just do a lot of research and talk it out with your Dr. Good luck!

susieq333 - Did you have one done? Or know someone who has? I heard it is painful and I did speak to the dr. about it but she did not lean one way or the other? I am not sure?

it's called an External Cephalic Version...you can google ECV for lots and lots of opinions, videos and such about it.

like susie said there are bunches or risks to mother and baby. it's extremely painful and may not even work resulting in an emergency c-section versus a scheduled one. I wouldn't do it if i were you because i would never put my child at any sort of risk regardless of the pain i have to go through. I, however, had an awesome c-section experience due to a breech baby so i'm biased because i've never delivered vaginally.

Do your research and make an educated decision based on what YOU Think is best for your baby and your body
