I brought Raheem to the Doc on the Friday the 14 th of Sept. he had a cold and also was his nine month check up... His pedi prescirbed med for him....etc.. The following monday I noticed a patch extended across his shoulders...I knew it was his eczema..(sp) (looks like a bad suntan)........I started to use hydroclontisone1%.....it has improved some what but ......for the pass two days.....his arms are covered with rashes....some like mosquito bites...........he has now started to have symthoms like diarehea....his bottom is totally red....(bruised)......he is given salt. I have been using desitin through out so I do not understand why......he is so bruised.......
It seem that I have to carry him to the pedi. again. I am at work now. I have to call her in the next 2 hours when she is at work. I am frustrated.......I feel horriable.......I wish I was at home taking care of him onmy own. My mom takes care of him for three days...Mon to Wed. and day care Thurs and friday. I have taken off so much time already from work.. His pedi. only works during the week. Totally sad and frustrated. It makes it seems that I am not taking good care of him.......Do you know what I mean?
Have any of you mothers' child ever have similar problems?

My son had a patch around his head and across his forehead and two small patches on his legs. I thought it was some sort of rash so I took him to the ped yesterday and she said it was eczema. She told us it was an inherited type of sensitive skin and there are flare ups when there is contact with irritating substances. She also said to use a thick, fragerence free lubricating cream like Aveeno Baby (which we bought). She then said to use Dreft to wash his clothes (expensive!).She gave us a pamphlet that talks about eczema and it says it's a chronic condition and usually doesn't go away before adolescence.
Anyways, I wanted to pass along what my ped said in case it could help in anyway. But def take him back to the docs, there could be something more serious going on. Hope the little one gets better soon.

Thank You very much for your advice. I spoke to Raheem's pedi. and she said that she is going to prescribe something else for him that it was definatly the eczema, she said that she would write me a pres for me to pick up this evening.
She said re the bruised bottom..it is caused from an infection.....from the watery stool. she said that I should use canesten on it after cleaning.........and to air out is bottom as much as possible especially when he is asleep. and it would clear up soon.

That sinks! I heard that cetaphil SP lotion works good for that. You might try it. My niece had it so bad all over her body. That worked good and goat milk soap. Good luck I hope it clears up.
