JcPenney Portraits vs. Sears Portraits [Poll]

posted 5th May '10
Soooo... I have usually gone to PictureMe for Kaelyn's pictures. Kaelyn loves the women that work there and her pictures always turn out amazing. But they don't let you change their outfit during the session and I don't know why. I think it's so stupid! But for her 1st birthday picturesI wanna get her in a couple of different outfits. So what's your opinion if you've been to both? Or if you've only been to one, did you like it? did your pictures turn out good? How did your LO cooperate with the photographer? Which one is cheaper? Unfortunately I'm on a budget   Thanks in advance.

I LOVE JcPenny. They have great coupons on their site, where you don't pay a sitting fee, and then each sheet for like 4 bucks.

we went to JCpenny for my sons 3 month photos, and i think we're going to go again for his 6 months (in a few days)

we didn't have a very good experience, but that's because Dylan was being fussy and cried almost the whole time.... the photographer was getting impatient with him.   but fortunatly we got some really good shots.

anyways, we paid a little over $100 for the CD with all the photos she took and the copy rights, that way we could print of how ever many of what photo we wanted. i thought it was a pretty good deal.

Neither.

I will never go anywhere but Portrait Innovations. They are, by far, the best.

Never tried Penney's but we had a horrible experience with Sears.

Our PictureMe lets you change outfits, wonder why yours doesn't..that's odd.

I used to work for the sears portrait studio and I hated it!! To me the pictures and poses look too corny. I wouldn't never recommend going there. JcPenney was good though.

You can buy JUST the cd without buying a package?

my MIL did it all for us. we had a coupon for a free sitting fee, and then just bought the CD, it was like $120.

It'd probably save me money that way, huh? Cuz then I get ALL of the pictures they took, even if they aren't with the enhancements, I could do those myself on photoshop. I think i'm gonna do it that way.

yep! i thought it was great, because i didn't even know how many of what photo we wanted, how big, and all that.

it's nice if you can find a place that will print them off in Matte finish for you, that way they look more professional when you give them to people.
