Pregnancy (before and after) Oddities..

posted 25th Sep '07
Well I was thinking about this the other day, and I started to wonder if its just me!

So here goes, while I was still pregnant with Alexandra, I sneezed alot. It happens to alot of pregnant women I know... What was odd about it was I started to double sneeze (2 times in a row). Ive never done more than single sneeze. Her father sneezes like 5 times in a row constantly. I blamed him for it as I was carrying his child.

Well since Ive had Alex, I havent double sneezed, and the oddest part about it is, SHE DOES!

She sneezes 1-2 times a day now, and 90% of the time its a damn double sneeze.

And since Ive had her, my sense of taste, and smell have increased dramatically, moreso than when I was pregnant even! I cant even stomach certain spicy foods anymore! I mean these things change during pregnancy, granted.. but after?!

I also developed a pupps like rash after I had her! Never while pregnant, it set in within days of giving birth, and has my doctor baffled.

It all just seems so.. Odd!

I was wondering if anyone else was going through these weird little changes?

The strange thing Peyton and I have is...

I don't sneeze but rarely. I start a sneeze and it just goes away. Well, Peyton does the same thing, but not as often. I didn't know it was something that carries on.

my strange thing is that i normally have allergies horribly bad. i did before prego & during prego. but now?? nope. nothing. (knock on wood!!) it's sooo strange. it could be b/c of the breastfeeding maybe. but   . and, like you said, about the spicy foods. yeah, i can hardly handle anything now, which sucks, b/c i like spicy foods.   i used to love sea food before the bebe, but when i was prego i couldn't stand the smell of it. i got nauseated driving by a sea food restaurant. same thing now, 4 months after the bebe. can't stand sea food. and my sense of smell is still pretty frikkin strong, too.

strange.

When i was pregnant with Anna, i had the worst heart burn and really bad acid reflux. Well now i don't get it at all but my poor little angel has acid reflux really bad. I wonder if she got that from me while i was pregnant? probably.

I would sneeze all the darn time, and now I really don't, except for when there's a lot of dust around! Julia sneezes...   And she still hiccups. She did in the womb, and now she does outside! Every single day. Poor baby.

definitly changes before and after.

I would get normally head aches but all I would need to go take a nap or drink some water. BUT since I have had mason, I get these HORRIBLE migranes daily, if I dont have some Mountain Dew before I get the migraine Ill have it for the rest of the day. These are the migraines that make you sick to your stomach and your sensitive to light. I have to pre-caffeine up. Medicine won't help if I already have it. I had never had a migraine before him, not one.

there are other little things to like sense of smell is definitly increased. For sure.

When I was pregnant my eyes and hands would always be dry, I would constantly be putting visine in my eyes and putting lotion on my hands. Unfortunatly that hasn't gone away, but maybe now the dry eyes are from lack of sleep and dry hands from washing so many damn baby bottles and clothes. LOL
