re: Washing... and Stripping (yer cloth diapers)

Looks like I'm a little late to the CD party but better late than never  

Ok so I just purchased some pocket "chinese cheapies" as they were refered to earlier on this post. What do I need to do to prep them for use? Do I just need to prep the inserts or do I prep the diaper as well? TIA!

are they all MF im assuming? just wash them once on hot with detergent, 2 rinses, and your good to go

I dont think the diapers are microfiber and I am making the inserts with flannel.

I'm most likely going to have to pay to wash clothes, so how can I do this without wasting money? A hot wash, no detergent, and a cold rinse at first? Before use, I mean.

So from what I've read in this thread, it looks like certain fabrics require certain methods of wash? I have 7 BG dipes with the original BG inserts. I believe that means they're microfiber, right?

When I got the BGs (used), I stripped them like one of the original posts said...
- 1 quick cold, no soap
- 1 full hot, with soap
- 1 full hot, with 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 full hot, with 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 full hot, no soap
- 1 quick hot, no soap
- boiled inserts for about 15-20 mins.
- threw everything in dryer on ex-low heat

I've also got 6 Alvababy dipes on their way. Those are brand new, so I'll need to prep them, right? What kind of wash should I do for those? 2 of them are minky PULs and the other 4 are regular PULs. Does this make a difference or no? They all have MF inserts. Should a do a normal wash to prep them or do something else?

I have 20 BG cloth wipes & 12 Cotton Babies wipes on their way. I assume they're also MF? Should those be stripped the same as I did to the BG dipes?

I'm thinking about stocking up on some bamboo inserts. I've heard they're good. Would they require a different kind of wash?

Sorry for all the Q's. I just wanna make sure I have all this down BEFORE my LO is here. Lol.

Does anyone know what the highest wash temp for PUL items are?
