SnugglyBear, I know this is an odd question, but do you have AIM/MSN or anything like that? You seem to have the 411 on a lot of stuff, and I'd like to have insta-access to you if I may?

i would take whatever you think you'll need because all hospitals vary on the stuff they provide,so just to be on the safe side,it wouldn't hurt to take all the necessitys...I'm sure there will be people there to help with carrying things out..

My husband didn't really need anything! Just some money for food really, he didn't even bring a change of clothes.

Daddytobe, a friend of mine, while she was in labor, but before the actual pushing stage when she was pretty much sleeping through contractions, her husband had the laptop up with MSN/AIM/YIM up informing people of the happenings since he didn't want to be on his cell phone bothering her. I heard he also got in about two hours of game time on WoW....

Be sure to ask the hospital first. We weren't allowed to have laptops at the one I went to.

Don't forget to make sure your car is gassed up and ready to go! You wouldn't want to get in the car to go and realize you don't have enough gas to get there. In my case, we're about 60 miles from the hospital (there's a hospital closer, but not the one I'm going to). We're supposed to be induced a week early, but before I found that out, having the car gassed up was something I was stressing about.
I still have to pack my hospital bag, though, and have been reading up on what to take. With my first I had problems and was in the hospital for a few weeks on bed rest before I had him (7 weeks early). The hospital I had him at didn't really provide much. I was also told to take as many things of your own like pads, diapers, etc. because the hospital charges for every little thing.

Our high school never taught us anything about pregnancy as well. I even took Adanvanced Health my senior year and still nothing. Now that DH and I are TTC I've had to read a lot of books and look at a ton of websites to inform myself. Sad really.

Our high school has a day care for the moms so they can keep going to school, which I think is great. I never took any classes so I dont know what they cover. I knew that bleeding happens after birth, but I honestly did not know that it could last for up to 6 weeks. Live and learn I guess.
I feel so overwhelmed when I think about packing! I am gonna have to start thinking about it soon, though, I only have 13 weeks left and who knows when she'll decide to come!
