Quoting Haylie's Mommy Tracie:“ I actually want to talk to the principal at the Jr. high here in town and ask if I can speak to the ... [snip!] ... from having unprotected sex. They are going to have sex but at least using protection is better then nothing right? ”

Funny you say this. My cousin is pregnant. She just turned 17 and is due on 2/1/08. When she was 13 she told me she was having unprotected sex. I was 17 at the time, and I told her that she needed to use protection not just to avoid pregnancy, but STD's. She didn't listen, and when I told her mom (my aunt) her parents didn't believe me. (I think they do nowthough). I think that it's not just the schools responsibility, but the parents. we all know thatschools aren't going to teach protection... at least not inthe U.S. I would stongly encourage you totry and talk them into letting you do that. Maybe you can make a difference in a young girls life.

i went to my counseler tell her that i need to get my papers to sign out of school or maturity leave and she actually asked "you're pregnant?" i mean i'm the size of a house. lol. then she told me that they dont have papers to give students maturnity leave. just teachers. how stupid is that?! so i just withdrew from the school for now. i'll just have to re-enroll when im ready to go back unless i decide to go into homeschooling.

you could do a "homebound" program. You only come to the school like once a week to meet with a councelor and you do all the work at home. They usually do it for kids who get mono or are in car accidents... things that prevent them from comming back right away. You might be able to finish out the school year like that. It doesn't hurt to ask.

No problem, I had to go on homebound when I was a freshman. LONG story, but I had a stalker, and my parents made me do school that way "for my own protecton" .. LOL whatever!

Yeah I think the parents have a huge impact on their childs life.
My mom and I have a very open relationship. She even put me on birth control and told me to be aware of STD's and getting pregnant.
I'd rather be pregnant then have an STD and I am.
Things happen you know? I can't say it was a mistake because I love my daughter more then life itself.
But when you have unprocted sex and are aware of what your doing then that's just careless. You can't have the "it wont happen to me" attitude. Because it will happen to you.

13? Jesus. I didn't even know what a naked guy looked like at 13 ha ha.

I think that everyone going through teen pregnancy... they must be very strong individuals. I'm twenty years old, going through a divorce, and honestly, scared shitless. All I know is I have this tiny life inside of me, and I'm going to be taking care of her for a -long- long time (my dad just points at me and laughs going 'You're turn now!'). At first, it was easy, but as the pregnancy has progressed, I've found that there are -so- many things I need to do, take care of, and plan ahead for. Such as, DUN DUN DUN!!! The HOSPITAL BAG! Mind if we take this topic back, well, on topic? I want to make sure I haven't forgotten anything! If you don't spot something on my list that should be, let me know!!

Going home outfit for me

Okay, so, I have a full list of stuff I need to pack then? And, when should I pack? I'm in my seventh month.

i say the sooner the better. i started picking out what to pack or not in my 6th month. and packing helps you figure out where your gonna put everything in baby's room if you aready haven't. (like me, i havent even put the bassenet together yet and im on my 4 week count down   )

I just packed my bag like last week. It gave me something to do ha ha.
I'm glad I waited but when my doctor told me I could go sooner then expected I thought it'd be a good idea to start packing.

I just thought of yet another essential. If your sig. other is as clueless as mine, a good idea would be to put together the list of people to call and keep informed... starting with the most important. My hubby (bless his heart) will be running around like a headless chicken to be able to remember numbers at all.

Also, I workas a baby photographer at the local hospital. We ask the mothers if they have an outfit they'd like baby's first picture in and if they want to use a specific blanket as a background (we aren't aloud to have backgrounds to use in the room... it's considered a "health risk") so those are things to think about!

Get that baby's room together soon miss I've only got 4 more weeks! You never know if you'll go into labor early!! And, Snuggly Bear, that's an awesome idea! I know exactly which blanket I'm going to use  . Okay, so, I guess I should start making my hospital bag now -and- setting up baby's room... Wow. Okay, so... what all exactly should I have in my daughters room? I know a criband diaper table are essentials, as are all her toys, diapers, ect... I'm so clueless!
