re: Hospital Bag!

Whatever makes you comfortable! Some women go early and some women go late. You could pack it now just to be sure if you want, or wait til 36 weeks or so.

I started t0 pack my bag. Im almost 37weeks.

For Me:
2-3 pairs of sock
3-4 pairs of underwear/sports bras
2-3Comfy PJs/Gowns
My take home Outfit
shoes to wear home
slippers
Hair brush
Hair ties
toothbruch/toothpaste
my own soap/shampoo/conditioner
Stuff for my Contacts and Glasses
my own Pads
Tucks(my firends said your gonna want them)

For Baby:
Take home outfit
Picture oufit
Extra outfit(premie never know how big they will be)
2 Socks
2 Hats
Ninnie
Bottles(I Wanted to have my own)
Wipes
Diapers
Blankets
Formula(if your not breatfeeding)
and a Few other little things.
The Hospital provides Alot already But Its still Nce To have your own

Extra things:
Camra/video camra
Extra Batteries
Snacks
Reading Materials
Watch/stopwatch
Baby Book
Contacts
Cell Phone/charger
My own Pillow and blanket
Anything you need for your support Person

I've read mostly all the comments and they've all been very helpful. This is my first pregnancy and honestly I am scared to death. I am in my 14th week, which is exremely early but I want to be prepared for whatever may come. With this site.... and with the help of all you lovely mothers.. I think I will be ready to and better aware of whatis to come.. Thanks Gals

If you're not smart enough to figure out that you're going to bleed after having a baby for awhile, then you don't really know how the female body works and please, why are you having sex anyways.....

I was just wondering do you guys think that packing at 32 or 33wks is too early? Right now im 31 1/2 wks, and my next doctors appointment is next week, and that weekend, was when I was going to start packing. I was going to do it when I turned 36wks, but next month, I'll be so busy and I might forget all the major things that I will need.

Its never to early to start to get things ready. especially if your gonna be busy next month. I just ould pack the baby's bag and in your bag the things you dont need right now. I have mine all packed except for like my nasesites(toothbrush brush contatcs camra phone charger ect.) those thing i still use now. but if you have extras of these things go ahead and pack it

Okay thanks mom. Sorry I'm not like you and didnt wait to have sex. Oh and lemme guess your an expert about everything that goes on with a females body. And like i said i knew i was going to bleed afterwards. Sorry I didnt do exactresearch on what happens when you get pregnant and afterwards. Seriously get over yourself.

4 outfits [one is just because my sister is gonna be devastated if it isnt brought]
2 pairs of socks
2hat [one might be too big]
2 blankets
1 pair of booties

Anything else?
I've been told not to bring diapers or wipes because hospital provides them. And my hospital is giving me a brandnew carseat.



Oh and for me..... i need help. im having more trouble with that.
I have one pair of sweats packed; thats it.

I would totally back a separtebaby for baby.

For baby :
diapers
wipes
petrollium jelly
baby powder
diaper rash cream
breast feeding pillow
receiving blankets
sleepers
onsies
bibs
pacifer
going home outfir
shampoo/body wash etc.
Car Seat
baby hat/mitts for hands
baby nail clippers (as they are born with long nails)
baby shoes/socks
wash cloths

For you...
robe/slippers
pj's
pads
toiletroes: toothpaste/brush
shampoo/body wash
going home outfit that is still materinity (as you will not be back to your pre-pregnancy weight just yet   )
an extra pillow as you may need it   and blanket
hair brush
Camera (video and digital) with battery charger
your wallet with health insurance, ID, and penfor filling out hospital forms.

I am sure I am missing a few and it may sound like a lot but I am sure you'll need it.

I'm only 11 weeks, but I'm definitely planning on packing my bag early! My mom went early with all of us: I was six weeks early, and my two sisterswere five and three weeks early. We were all perfect and healthy, but with me being six weeks early (first born), she didn't even have the baby book purchased yet! My dad had to go shopping with her best friend to pick up all the "necessities"... How embarrassing for my dad to buy a monster package of pads with his wife's best friend!  

You're in the home stretch!  

Ladies who have been through this before help me out. All the stuff that the hospital "provides" you pay for. Is this correct? I understand the more you bring of your own stuff the less you have to pay the hospital for.

My school doesn't do sex ed anymore due to parent complaints. I know of plenty of other schools that don't either. And if their parents are anything like mine, they don't tell you ANYTHING because they'reuncomfortable talking about sex and whatnot. Just trying to clear some things up.
