why are you having a c-section if you don't mind me asking
and they won't do it before you're full term unless it's medically necessary

Ditto the above poster.

You should really avoid having a c-section though, you heal a lot faster & easier from a vaginal birth. Yanno, surgery is usually a last resort. I've had 2 c-sections, and they are NOT easy.

Trust me, you can wait a couple more weeks, its better for baby. I had my daughter at 37 weeks due to severe preeclampisa and I wish I could have kept her in for the full 40 weeks.

And im I the only one whos had an AWESOME c-section?.... I feel so weird.. All I took was tylenol and I was %100 fine and walking 2 hours after she was born and never really had any pain.

As long as I was stoned mine was awesome   My first one went a lot smoother then my second one did. My first one...I was moving house a week to the day later lol...I dunno though, I think the stress I've been under after this one might have a lot to do with all of it!

haha for me the c-section was the best part of my whole hospital exsperiance(?)!! i was on a full morphine iv for a whole week and i had a little button that i could push to get a little more when i felt a little bit of pain.. i hardly pushed it! and when i did it was more for my spleen. and when i got home they gave me a prescript for darvaset still have it the prescript didnt even need to take it to the pharmace!!!

ya i thought you could only schedule a c-section if you already had one.. other than that it has to be a medical reason.

They dnt usally give u a csection unless u are high ridk or something is wrong with baby, his heads to big, heart beats low etc.

U should really wait it out u want a big healthy baby..

My csection actually went great! Its been about a week && a half since mines and mines went great!! I stop taken my meds about 5 days later..my incision still hurts wen something rubs against the sides but other then that I feel great ...but I got lucky most girls recovery is longer..I didn't really have a choice since I had twins I got to get up && down.

why not if u want the c section do it..its not bad at all don't let these women scare u..i had a great c section with my son..and somewhere in the future i'd probably do it again..i know me i couldn't handle the contractions..and those sucked a whole lot worse than the surgery the spinal and everything else..and thats comin from somebody who has a high pain tolerance..its been 2 weeks since i had the surgery and i stopped takin my meds i think 5 days after i had the surgery..i made a pretty quick recovery too..i was only in the hospital for 2 days..and the same night i had my surgery i skipped past the liquid diet and i was walkin around..so i guess its on ur pain level..or how quick u recover..but good luck to u on that
