The things we learn to do one-handed
posted 18th Sep '07
Since becoming Mommys there are lots of things we figure out how to do with one hand while the other is holding the baby.
Today I ironed my entire shirt for work with one hand. I don't know if anyone else is impressed, but I sure am.
What are things you ladies have managed to do one handed that you wouldn't think you could do??

Wow that video was amazing!! Does anyone know why she doesn't have arms? Was she born without them or was she in an accident??
I can wash dishes, do laundry, vaccuum, pick up the house, type pretty well all with one hand. I've gotten pretty good.

It's an art, learning to do things one handed. Let's see, I've got oh 7 years of practice. I can change a diaper, make meals, clean up, type, and push my other kids on the swing one handed!

i can't do anything that special, just the same kinds of things you ladies can do too like bottles, laundry, and cleaning but it does feel really good when my husband stops and stares at me while im doing one of these things and thinks it's just amazing that i can do it with a baby in my hand. He always says "how do you do that?" i say :i don't know i just all of a sudden could do these things" probably the day i became a mommy.

type, fold laundry, load laundry, load and unload dishwasher, wash dishes by (one hand), stir food (with baby way out of reach), vacuum clean, pick up toys, read my daughter a book, put her sandals on her while holding her brother, get her a snack, etc. You learn to do everything with one hand eventually. I need to see that video...
