Preemie Moms Chat Thread

I thought we should have a preemie moms chat thread. For me, its really nice to be able to talk to other moms who have gone through the same thing, and help out others who are currently going through it.
So if you are a Mama of a preemie, born before 37 weeks, whether your preemie is older, or you just had a preemie, come in and chat with us.
For me, if it wasn't for the Mamas on here when my LO came early, I think I would have lost my mind.
If this takes off, I am going to ask Mara to make this a sticky.

I am Hayley and I have a preemie princess. Her name is Bella and she is now 9 months old. She was born at 29 weeks due to me having severe pre-e. She weighed 2 lbs 9 ozs and 16 inches long. She is now 13 lbs 9.5 ozs and 26 3/4 inches long.

I think its a great idea!

My son was born at 34 1/2 weeks. He lost 2 lbs in the hospital and came home at barley 4 lbs. Hes had manyproblems through out his life but is an amazin child!

I'm in! I have Hayden Gunner who was a 30 weeker. 3 lbs 8 oz at birth. Now a maniac 2 year and 3 month old who is perfectly healthy. Hey guys!

I am Tara, I have a preemie named Anya that was born at 27 weeks 3 days, after my water broke due to chorioamnioitis, which can be a very dangerous infection, if left untreated, it can actually kill you. Anya was 2 lbs 6 oz and 14 inches at birth, dropped down to 1 lb 15 oz. She went through ventilator for less than one day, CPAP for 8 weeks, low flow oxygen for 2 weeks, a large PDA, and a grade 2 intraventricular hemorrhage (brain bleed), and also a feeding intolerance. She is now almost 16 lbs and 29 inches at 10 1/2 months old.

yep. 30 lbs even about 2 months ago. he's a big boy. no developmental delays.

I think this is a great idea. I do not have a child that was born premature but I love to hear about the strong little fighters that you were all gifted with!!

Great idea! I'm in! Hi I'm Tasha. I have three preemie girls. Olivia was born at 31 weeks and weighed 3lbs 11oz, she is 29lbs now and 4 years old. Jaedyn was also born at 31 weeks and weighed 3lbs 12oz, she is 2 now and weighs 26lbs. And my last preemie is Torance, she was born at 34 weeks. She was also 3lbs 11oz due to severe IUGR, but now she is a healthy five month old that weighs 11lbs 2oz.
