Quoting Will☮Creedence:" Some of the nurses here are seriously so rude like I'm here on a daily basis I do the same thing every ... [snip!] ... What the hell do they expect to happpen when I take him home with me? He's MY child I am capable of doing minor tasks for him!"
I would actually complain to the head nurse when nurses treat you like that, a NICU stay is hard enough on us moms to not have to deal with nurses attitudes. Thankfully I only had one bad experience with a nurse, and I complained and she never dealt with my daughter again. I still remember the day like it was yesterday. My husband was holding Anya, and she went into a spell, and by this time, I knew things I could do to try to get her out of it, but nothing I was doing was working, and her nurse was on the phone, and I am trying to get her attention while all the alarms are going off, and she waves me off while on the phone and walks away from the noise. The head nurse was already on her way over because of the alarms, and I freaked, I said her phone call is more smurfing important than my daughter I said she could have died because of her incompetence. Later on she tried apologizing to me and I just glared at her.
