Creedence is 3lbs 5oz and 13 days old
(He was 2lbs140z at birth)
He just started gaining a few days ago and is averaging about 2oz a day!
He's on cpap but otherwise doing great, eating 25ml of breastmilk every 3 hours and the pumping is going ok, I hate it but for now I'm getting more than enough.

I haven't even seen one since I rented my pump
I'm more worried about keeping my supply now. I'm not getting as much as I should at this point even though compared to how much he's eating I'm making tons but I'm just not getting as much as they told me I should at this point. I'm also getting engorged and the pump is not relieving it like I'll pump until nothing is coming out but still feel engorged and I'll have to sit there hand expressing for another 10 minutes and I know I'm still not getting it all I need to breastfeed! Plus I'm so busy I'm not pumping enough as I should be which is probably why my supply is under what it should be. I mean between my 3 yr old, myhusband, errands, and two trips to the hospital every day it is literally impossible to pump every 2-3 hrs.

Do u have a handprint that came with your kit? It's hard to do but I've found I'm getting more that way. It's tiring but I've pumped more. My hospital grade medela kit had one in it. And my pump from insurance had one. Idk if all kits have them now or not.

A hand pump? No but I have heard from other women too that those work better so I might get one.

Yeah I would. I know a lot of people like their medela harmony ones. This one is medela but it's not really a style. Idk I never had one in my kit with dd1 but now I got them in two diff kits. Is your pump kit medela?

That's what my hospital kit was too. Are u sure there's not a hand pump in there. Its like a yellow cylinder. I didn't know it was a hand pump at first. It screws on to the end of the clear part that goes on your boob. Mine also had an attachment where u could use your tubing and hook it up to double pump. But you'd totally need something to hold them on or you'd need more hands haha!!
It this... It came in both of my kits. I can't believe yours wouldn't have one

Nope I didn't get that. How much did your kit cost? Mine was $40 and then it's $69/ month to rent the pump. Maybe I can buy it from the hospital? I'll have to call them and find out.

The hospital gave me the kit to go with the hospital pumps cause they have them all over for preemie moms to use anytime they want. I also got an SNS system from them too. Dang maybe I'm spoiled My pump I bought I got from a med supply company cause my insurance covered it and that's where they make me get them. It's called medela pump advanced. It's pretty much the same as the in style advanced but not in a cutesy bag. It's like a tan rectangle bag with a built in cooler and storage pouch. It's pretty nice. The on styles don't have a built in cooler. They have like a travel cooler. I got a travel cooler and diaper bag from my hospital so I don't really need another one anyway.

Yeah they gave me a cooler and ice packs and I have a free set and pump in the NICU for whenever I'm there but I bought one to bring home and rented an extra pump for home bcause I really wanted the hospital grade one to help my supply.
