Cadence weighs 18.14lbs 29in. She's in the 10-25 percentile. She got 3 shots and blood drawn from finger     she can come off formula and bottle!

What are the colors for premature babies? I've seen pink and blue and then purple for March of Dimes

I would go with purple for sure!

so dylan is still uncoordinated with
eating they are waiting til 39wks to
see if its just prematurity or
something more. of course thats
been in the back of my mind, that
she'll have delays/other problems. had a good cry with the LC.
on the plus side she took all 60ccs at
3p feeding

Hopefully she'll come around mama. Don't worry. She's still little.

What did your preemies weigh at birth and at 4 months corrected?

Bub was 4.2 lbs at birth and at 4 months corrected is 11 lbs.

His pedi isn't happy with his weight gain. I've had to start giving him a bottle of formula, until last week he was EBF, once per day.

It doesn't look like he's starving to me...

Is he getting breast milk from the breast? If so can u pump irat so he gets more hind milk? Have they had concerns in the past or was this just mentioned? Usually formula is not the first plan of attack for weight gain. I'd talk to a LC, especially one familiar with preemies.

At his appointment at the end of November he was 9.4 lbs. In the middle of January he was 10.4 lbs. I was told to start supplementing then but said I'd rather try other things first, like changing my diet and taking Fenugreek.

I did all that and went back two weeks later and his weight was 10.5 lbs. I've started giving him 1 - 2 oz after BF, however much he'll drink before falling asleep, for his last feeding of the night so it doesn't mess with my supply.

Now, two weeks later, he's just at 11 lbs.


I'm going to talk with a baby dietitian after his appointment next month if his weight isn't better. I talked to her briefly today and she said I could fortify his bottles (formula or breastmilk if I pump) and that would help, too. But we'll see how his next appointment is.

Try pumping to to help boost your supply if you haven't been. Then you'll have some milk to fortify if you go that route. Hopefully the supplementing can be a short term thing.

I know, its just hard when babies her gestation age or younger are leaving. Its just been a long 25 days.
