Hi everyone. My name is Kelly and my beautiful baby girl Caitlin was born at 35 wks weighing in at 5lb 4oz which was a big surprise to all of us considering how tiny my bump was. I am a first time mum ad have never spent that much time around babies, so it has been a godsend to find forums like these  

Hi ladies. I'm Stephanie.

My son was born on September 4th at 35.2 weeks. He weighed 4 lbs 2.5 oz and was 16.9 inches long. He was in the NICU for 11 days. He's 7.4 weeks old, 2.6 weeks corrected.

My daughter (now almost 6) was born at 36.6 weeks, weighing 6 lbs and was 19 inches long.

At my six week check up I found out that my placenta wasn't working on all pistons. It had spots with limited to no blood flow which is why my son was so small for his gestational age. I was told that if I ever want more babies I will be considered high risk and they will likely also be preemies.

I have some concerns about my son as a preemie. Most of them being "is he growing and developing like he should be".

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all

im 24 wk and worrying incase i hv my baby early wud he survive x

I am Crystal and I just gave birth to my baby boy 10/22/12. He was 5 weeks early. I had been having preterm labor for over a month. He weighs 4 lbs 12 oz. He is so tiny but healthy. This is my first child so I am nervous about everything but still very blessed that everything turned out great.

24 weeks is pushing it.

Is there any reason you would deliver early?

hi my little on is over the 9 lbs mark now 3 months old. have any of u had to deal with the drs thinking ur baby might have cancer??? if so any advice

What were your babies doing at the 8 week mark?

Hi my DS was born at 32.2 weeks, weighing 4.15lbs, he is now completely caught up at 17 months and is even in the top 75% for his age!! I am currently 18 weeks pregnant with no.2 and have had spotting the whole way through! :/ Am hoping this pregnancy to at least get to 35 weeks, Dr's and midwife's have told me it's unlikely!!

hey ladies idk if i posted yet i cant remember... but my roman (if you remember us) was born at 30 weeks and 5 days... hes 9 mts old now and has always been caught up =) (basically he hasnt been behind ) hes about to start walking... hes got three teeth and growing chunky like a pro.... hes over 20 lbs now =) thanx for all the supports ladies!

I'm glad to hear success stories of your tiny warriors.

To the poster asking about a 24 weeker...
My son was born at 24 weeks and although he survived, he did have a lot of issues.
The best advice I can give is take it one hour at a time, don't get discouraged if there are two steps forward and one step back...There will be ups and downs, keep a journal, be involved in the care, ask questions, celebrate the JOY in the JOurneY.

No, actual 8 weeks. He was born September 4th.

Toby got his 2 month shots today. He weighs 8 lbs 5 oz, so he's doubled his birth weight in 2 months. Am very happy about that  

Elijah rolled over all on his own today!! He had been getting on his side pretty consistantly but was not going all the way over. But he did today!! And while I am at work of course. But daddy got to see it so that was nice   9mo and 2week old (6mo and 1 week adjusted)
