I had a 25 weeker and thank god she was able to get them....

i am currently expecting and preparing for another preemie, I hope he or she will be able to get the shots as well!

yeah, my high risk drs are pretty sure I wont have a term baby, but I cant loose hope!

great idea, i had a panic on sunday night i had 3 hrs of contractions went to hospital, im just 25 weeks and was so scared luckily they subsided,but the fear of not knowing if he had come then or if he doesnt go to term now, what i might face, read here could help, my last son was 37 weeks but waters went at 34 weeks, so i dont really qualify as a preemie il find the posts useful and reassuring too

Hello ladies so glad to find this page. I have a daughter who was born at 35 Weeks on sept 21st due to pre- e. They are sending me to a neurologist due to poor muscle tone at the pediatrician office. Hopefully they find that she is doing really well. She seems to be getting lots stronger. Would love to hear more from you all.

my daughter was born on her due date
and my son...15 weeks early...he spent 100 days btw 3 different hospitals
he was born dec 29th and came home april 7th (1 day after his due date)
now at 6m corrected, he is 17lbs and sitting up, and tolerating solids

My son was 15 weeks early as well. He was born Jan 20, 2012 and was due on April 30. He will be 9mo tomorrow and 6mo adjusted on the 30th. He spent 80 days in the NICU and came home the day after Easter. He is now 17lbs and sits up pretty well on his own. He hasn't expressed any interest in solids yet and is perfectly content and growing well on his preemie formula so I'm not pushing the issue   .

im colleen and i had my son, Christian at 34 weeks n 5 days. i had cholestasis which could have been a part of why he was preemie but not for certain. when he was born he had respiratory distress and has a heart murmur. he spent 25 days in the nicu and was on oxygen the whole time. he was 7 lbs 5 ozs and 19 1/2 inches. now hes almost 4 months and weighs 17 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches now. hes right on target with his development so far, but has to go back to the cardiologist in december to have his heart murmur checked again. hoping the valves closed and he wont have any problems later in life with it. i want him to be able to play sports without problems. i think this thread is a great way to communicate with other preemie moms. even tho my son wasnt as tiny as most preemies he is still a preemie.
