Thats so great!! Anya didn't hit 12 lbs til she was over a year old. Hope all else is well!

She's huge! She wasn't gaining then BAM she started growing.

Hey moms. I'm glad I finally found you all lol my LO is now 10 weeks old tomorrow she was born 36 weeks exact 35 and 6 days if u wanna look at it that way at 6 pounds 6 ounces she is 9 pounds now but I always have trouble wondering if she gets enough food and how she is doing. Its crazy because people can be the rudest and not even know it....she's so small feed her rice she's teeny tiny etc and your thinking ok this I know so stfu but you smile anyways.... but she was 6 pounds at birth so I know moms or preemie princesses and princes are even more annoyed than me if they are smaller. I'm terri btw and leah is my heart.

So, Cadence had her 4 month appt today. My lil 30 weeker is now 11 lbs and 23 in. Her dr was on vacation so she saw a different one. He was like why hasn't she started baby food yet. I said cuz she was a preemie I plan on waiting a lil while. He said preemie or not you start food at 4 months. He said to only do barley and no bananas or anything like that that's high in calorie cuz girls dont want to be fat. He even said to start with things like strawberries etc. Cadence has a birthmark on her leg. Its flat and brown. He said I should prolly think about having it surgically removed cuz she might get self-conscious about it as she gets older. Needless to say I wasn't a happy momma.

Omg, I would file a complaint on that doctor and request to only see your doctor.

i dont know if i posted an update on roman my 30 week 5 dayer   but hes (im guessing its been a few weeks since hes been weighed and stuff) so hes about 24 inches long and 15 or 16 lbs now   i know hes at least 15 lbs   and he turned 5 mts old on the 19th... yaayyy   hes doing so good too  

Hi i am a mother at age 19 to a wonderful beautiful handsome man named elijah. he was born on april 15th, 2012 @ 10:18pm. rushed by ambalance to childrens hospital due to tornado warnings in our area. he was born 2lbs, 14 oz. reason for his prematurity was we had placenta arupta. he was drowning in my blood since his placenta was detereiating. labor started (although i was unaware.. just thinking he was moving again) at 5 am, i started bleeding at 10am. was admitted to hospital at 11am. they did two ultra sounds.. one before my water broke and one after.. both looked same. My water broke at 4pm. they said it was piss although they did the strip test.. i was growing weeker by the minute. they let me bleed 12 hours till they delivered my son. by then i was to weak. as long as my son was ok i didnt care if i lived or not.. if it was ment to be then it was ment to be. They delivered him. since my hospital didnt have a nicu I had to wait three long days to see my son. he turned two months on june 15th and i am happy.. he is still in hospital.. he will come home on air. and I am proud.. he now wieghs 6lbs and 13 oz.

His speech sounds a bit off and he has low muscle tone.. but they can't be sure that's from him being so early.

They never offered to discontinue care, but we were told he had a 20% chance of survival and a 5% chance of surviving with no major brain damage.

Ricks Pead told me (once they realized that he was going to be ok).. that he'd be great with maths and music, not so good with English. He was right  .

Today is my due date and my son Bentley is a few days shy of 3 months old! Bentley was born on April 1, 2012 at 5:35 pm via emergency c-section. Lab work that day showed that my kidneys were almost done for and my liver was also starting to fail. I had severe pre-eclampsia. My blood pressure reached 160/110 and I had about 6,00 protein in my urine. Bentley was born at 27 weeks gestation. He was 1 pound 9 ounces and was in the 7th percentile weight wise!! Two weeks earlier I went to the hospital because I thought I was leaking fluid. I got to the hospital, was sent home and told that I had peed my pants. I was 25 weeks when that happened. Bentley didn't grow anymore after that and before giving birth a sonogram showed very low fluid levels. Bentley was in the NICU for about 10 weeks and at about 11 1/2 weeks was released to go home. That was a week and 4 days ago!! Bentley came home on oxygen and phenobarbitol. He was no signs of ROP, has some hearing lose but it is conductive and should get better! He has a hydrocele that we are watching. Hoping we don't have to go back to have surgery. Bentley left the hospital weighing 5 pounds and 5 ounces. Two days ago and a doctors appointment he weighed in at 5 pounds 14 ounces! Our miracle baby made it and we could finally bring him home!!

My son was born 4 days ago. June 30th...He is 5lbs 5 oz born at 36 weeks and 4 days. He was put on Similac Neosure formula made for preemies. He seems to be doing ok so far. He is a little jaundice the doctors have said but they said its not a bad case of it and just to keep an eye on it. His sister who is now 3 was 6lbs 6oz and she was born at 37 weeks and 1 day... So hopefully he grows big and strong like her. He is such a little sweetheart and his big sister is already so attached to him  

What is the earliest all of you have heard of a baby going home? Like gestational age, there is a woman in a thread I am in, that said she had a 31 weeker and he went home at 3 days old.
