I hope every1s babies are doing well! I have been in hospital most of the time, and reality really struck when 4 babies died in 3days... I count myself lucky that we still have little Rory, my lil lion man, fighting strong. It makes me realise that all of us with preemie babies have to face the thought of losing our baby at some point, and some of us do. I don't know how i would cope, but we are all strong! Rory is now out of intensive care and in Special care, off the Biphasic Cpap and on normal and his incubator is down to 28degree's! He weighs 1.316kg! almost 3lbs! he looks like a proper full term baby almost! xxx

Do you mean 38 degrees? because 28 degrees is not hot enough, they need it close to their body temp because they can't maintain their own body temp til they are close to 4 lbs.

I think it depends on your baby. You should call your pediatrician .. I was told a year and were not even home yet... I can't imagine a year like this but to me it's worth my sons life

I agree.
I think it depends on the baby as well as what season you go home during. RSV season is still here and it came late this year just like the flu did. Also, any baby coming home now may not get a Synagis shot. I feel that places like churches are super crowded and can be dangerous for preemies. But if people will be respectful and not touch the baby then that's different.
Good Luck

She got the Synagis shot and will be getting another one in about a week. Her pediatrician said she would wait till after her 2 month shots on 4/20. I really want to bring her on Easter   I dont plan on takiing her out of her car seat except for when I feed her or change her diaper. I have a cover that goes over her car seat and no one is going to be allowed to touch her.

Most people had told me they couldn't get anymore Synagis shots after March, but it's good that she's getting them. When I was trying to decide what to do and where we could go I went and asked the Moms on Inspire Preemie online. There are a lot of Moms who were very knowledgeable and many who had also experienced RSV. I would say you should ask them as well. They are also very aware of how late RSV season has been this year and I think that is important.

Trust me I do understand how you feel. We were quarantined for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Most of the family and friends haven't even had a chance to meet our daughter yet. It's been hard. I've also found it harder to tell family and friends not to touch her when they have been all excited to meet her. It's a lot easier to tell strangers to not touch her because of germs.
Either way, good luck!
