Hello, my name is Lisa and i had my identical twin girls on March 9that 32w4d via c-section. I had pre-eclampsia and they had IUGR. they were born at 3 lbs and 3lbs 1 oz. and 15 1/2 in and 15 3/4 inches long. They are still in the NICU but are both doing great and are both around 4 lbs. They are expected to be home the beginning of next week !

Hi! I'm Leslie, my son Cooper was born at 26 weeks at 2lbs 1.5oz. My water broke at 22 weeks, I spent one week on bed rest at home, and three in the hospital. I started bleeding on Thanksgiving Day, and that Sunday morning I started having contractions, none picked up on the monitor. I thought they were just gas pains, until about 4:15 when I got up to go to the bathroom and couldn't get out of the bathroom floor. My son was breach, he was born at 4:35 via emergency c-section. He spent 87 days in the NICU and he has been home for almost 5 weeks. He weighs 10lbs 1.8oz now. Hes growing so fast.

And the mag was yuck! I had every side effect possible.

Hey ladies....love the chat thread....just hope I can keep up since I am usually bad lol.
Anyways I am Christy and my son Dreydon was born at 28 weeks and 1 day because I got an infection and became septic and our heartrates were really high and I had a high temp and we wouldnt know if he had the infection until he was out....found out a week later, my infection was trapped in my body thanks to a kidney stone!
Today is actually his 1st birthday but his corrected age is 9 months....he is a little behind on mobile skills but with our therapist, he is learning quickly.

Eh I am with you ladies on hating mag. sulfate too! I had it with my first (when I also had pre-e ; the pregnancy devil!) I felt like I had been hit my a semi truck, I swear!

Hi Ladies!!! My name is is Rachelle and I have had 3 preemie babies. My first son was born via c-section at 30 weeks due to pre-e. He was 2lbs. 9 oz. He is now a healthy 3 year old. On Feb.25th I gave birth also via c-section to twin boys. They came at 27 weeks4 days.They were1 lb 1 oz and 1 lb 10 oz.they are both still in the NICU. They are doing good but everyday is struggle for me. Looking forward to talking withyou ladies. With my first son he was in the NICU for a month and a half and i wish had someone to talk to that understood what i was going through!!

aww they were tiny for 27 weeks.. how are they doing? and how much do they weigh now?

Hello ladies. I have been on here for about a year but have never introduced myself. Maybe now I can make some new friends and update my lame profile.

My name is Slavka and my son, Henrik Gabriel, was born at 29w 6d due to pPROM. My membranes ruptured at 28w 2d and I held out for 12 days before I went into natural labour. Ten days on hospital bedrest and one and a half on house arrest. Henrik weighed almost 4 pounds (1805 grams) and was 18.5 inches long.

We had a long 58 day stay at three different hospitals without too many complications. My heart goes out to some of you for who have been through so much. He was discharged at 38 weeks gestation weighing almost 8 and a half pounds.

The rough ride started at home. We did not qualify for Synagis so we were told to avoid contact with others (since it was the RSV season). I developed major anxiety and agoraphobia. Being isolated at home did not help. I tried breast feeding for 5 months without too much success. I pumped for 14 and a half months.

I hope to have another soon but I am terrified since I was premature due to pPROM.

Hi, my name is Angelina. My son was born at 30 weeks due to PROM at 25 weeks, I spent 5 weeks on hospital bedrest. He was born at 3lbs and 15 1/2 inches long. He spent 3 1/2 months in the hospital. He was on the vent for 5 days, CPaP for 2 weeks,He hadbilateral grade 1 brain bleeds, hewas diagnosed with a very rare lung disease called cellular interstitial pneumonitis, he doesnt absorb o2 properly. He is 10 months and still on o2 24/7. His doctors are hoping to have him off o2 by 18 months. He is now 16lbs 6 oz and 26 1/4 inches long.

I'm Krista. I had my son at 24 weeks gestation 1 lb 9 oz 12 3/4 in. He is now 5 months old weighing in at 9 lbs 6 oz 20 1/2 in. He just came home a little over 2 weeks ago after being in the NICU for around 125 days.

They had no idea why I went into labor initially, but they took him via emergency c-section because I developed an infection after being on strict bed rest for a week in the hospital.
