Depression Question..

I was wondering does being stressed out and depress during pregnancy... causes postpartum depression?

I would say no.. becuase post partum means after.. and if its during you were already depressed so there i would say its just 'deppression.

You have a higher risk of developing PPD if you were depressed during your pregnancy. I would talk to your doctor about it.

yeah that's what i meant. Can it cause you to have postpartum depression if you were depress during your pregnancy. Anywho...im actually isn't sure how to go about talking about it. I feel ashamed....I have tried dealing with it on my own...but it keeps coming back....

may cause PPD afterwards happened to me... Was depressed while, severe PPD and now Severe Depression

In my experience, yes.
That's what happened to me.
But the PP depression was wayy worst!

No, but PPD can cause you to have negative feelings towards your baby. If you think you are getting it, you really need to seek help before you do anything you regret.

that's what im afraid of...maybe ill bring it up on my next visit to the doc....

I thought depression could hurt the baby durring pregnancy because of the stress?
