I had my baby

Hi ladies! Amelia Ronin Williams was born on December 12, 2006. She was 5lbs, 10 oz and 18 inches long. She wasn't expected until January 5 with a c-section planned for the 28th of December. What can I say, complications suck. Anyway, we are both doing fine. As soon as I figure out how to post pics I'll do it.

Beautiful baby! She seems to be doing great, despite coming a few weeks early.

Thanks, she seemed huge to us at first because her big sister was 13 weeks early and only 1lb14oz.

Congrats! Did you have to have a C-section sense you had to go in unexpectedly?

My first daughter was delivered via emergency c-section three years ago, and either because it was an emergency or because she was so small they did a vertical incision on my uterus rather than a horizontal. From what all my doctors told me (and I asked third, and fourth opinions at different doctor offices) that means I can only have c-sections. So, to answer your question I had a c-section already planned, but ended up having another emergency c-section anyway.

Well absolutly take care of yourself! Seems like a vertical C-section would be tougher to recover from than horizontal. But I'm no expert that's for sure! I'm lucky enough to have been more than able to do vaginal births. I hope you heal quickly and uneventfully. Congrats on your new little one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
