I'm sorry you had such bitchy nurses. I would have lost it (and so would my partner) and requested a different one. I was lucky the midwife who delivered my daughter was amazing  . Epis are amazing! Both myself, my sister, and my sister in law progressed from a 3 to a 10 in less than 4 hours and it was such a relief.

I hope you're little girl can come home soon. I can't imagine how you must feel not being able to bring her home  . I am surprised to hear that they think she got infection from your water being broken for so long- mine broke at 6:15am on the Sunday and I had my daughter at 2:29am on the Monday.

I read it all!   I lmao'd at this part:  Maybe if she had been a little more considerate and checked me gently instead of trying to fist me as if I'd signed up to be in a hardcore porno I would have been a little more relaxed.

They said they might let me stay an extra night in the hospital with her since she seems well enough to go home by Monday so hopefully I'll get to stay here where I can visit nearly whenever I want. I found it really weird that they said my water being broken for "so long" was probably the cause because I didn't think it'd been broken for that long, especially since I got to the hospital pretty quickly after it happened. But I guess it's possible since getting checked can introduce bacteria and I got checked at least 5-6 times.

I spiked a fever during my labor so they had to take Damien and test him and everything and he had meconium too so I didnt get to hold him when he came out. My midwife said I spiked a fever beacasue my water broke when i was2cm at 6:30pm and i didnt have him until 7:35am the next day...so its possible...but congrats again
