Can you let us know what he says? I'm always interested in what doctors recommend.

Helllllp! My son is 4 weeks old and he is strictly bottle fed. The doctor mentioned that he might have reflux and recommended the enfamil AR formula. He is still spitting up (not as much) and seems to be overall uncomfy. My question is does anyone have any experience with any bottles that seemed to help their babies reflux or gas? My daughter used the playtex drop ins with no problems but its not going so well with my son. I looked at some other bottles but they all seem to claim that they help with reflux, colic, gas, etc. Just wondering if anyone has any experience. Thanks!

We used the Playtex Ventaire, and they helped a lot. More than likely you are going to have to try out a couple different bottles and see what works for your son.

Also, try using gas drops to help with the gas (a definite drawback of the A.R.), and bicycle his legs regularly.

Oh I didn't know the AR caused more gas. I had stopped using the gas drops because he seemed to be burping fine on his own and the spit up was more of a problem but that might explain why he is screaming when he is asleep. I'll try those again. Thank you!

Yeah, it's because of the rice starch. You might also notice some constipation, or thicker stools. It's normal. It's kind of a toss up on which is worse--the spit up or the bowel effects.

Is there an Infant Feeding chart anywhere that can tell me how much my 5-6 week old should be eating every day? It doesn't seem like Cora eats enough but she is almost never hungry.

She takes 3-4 oz every 4 hours during the day and 4-5 oz every 6 hours at night

1st page of this thread.   Every baby is different though, so that chart is just averages.

well we went to her 2 week check up and the pedi said to stick out the soy milk for a week to see how she adjusts and so far sooo much better!! also i think she was having tummy aches from me not warming up her bottles..i would just give them to her room temp or str8 out the fridge and now i nuke em for 15 secons and ALWAYS check on my wrist cuz i kno about microwaves blah blah but the sink takes to long and i always test to make sure..this has helped alot too! she is in the 75th percentile for her weight!! she is already 10lbs 14oz and at birth she was 8lbs 1oz..its ben 2 weeks!!! the doc said she is so healthy and growing great.
