If you're looking for the best baby bottle for you and your baby, whether you're breastfeeding still or not, whether you are concerned about using plastic or not, I found a great website that can help: BabyGearLab. Here is a link to their best baby bottle review:

Quoting sooz the formula guru:" Okay, I have a little chart that I wanted to post that really helped me out in the beginning. I know ... [snip!] ... more frequent feedings). Thought it might help out those mamas that have no idea what they are doing, like me when I started!"

Hello I really like your chart it is very helpful...
I have a 3 month old and she has congestion in her nose I made some saline drops (salt and water) but it is really making her not sleep as good because she gets stopped up in her nose...what is another remedy I can use.. .

Quoting Mama to EC:" So even though she is okay with the slow flow nipples with breast milk she will probably need medium ... [snip!] ... some babies a tummy ache. But I have also read that some babies don't mind cold formula. Is it worth a shot to at least try?"

I like the gerber bottles, even if I buy the parents choice, I have to buy the gerber nipples to put in because my boys won't use a different nipple. They're very picky.

Can someone time me why you can't give your baby his/her formula after they drank some after an hour? Thank you!

Hi there---just have a couple questions. Me being a 1st time Mommy I'm sure pretty sure I'm just worrying too much, but I still want to ask about formula and weight gain and making sure he sounds normal. So, with that said, my son was born weighing in at 8 lbs 8 oz and 20.5 inches long. The following week at one week old at his follow up pediatrician appointment he weighed 8 lbs 6 oz, so he almost had gained it all back. Now...at 4 weeks old he weighs 10 lbs 5 oz and is 23 inches long. Also, he is eating 5 oz bottles and eats about every 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Is this too much for him to be eating? Or too often?? Or does it sound like he is gaining weight too fast??? Just looking to ease my concerns. We don't have another pediatrician appointment until he is 2 months old.

I breastfed ONLY for the first month now that I am busy and going back to school I pump and use formula. I have been using gerber good start gentle formula.. But have been noticing DS having trouble passing bowel movements. He only goes once a day and struggles.. Is this just the transition between coming from only breast milk and now mixing in formula???

My son is on good start gentle. I add a little extra water to his bottles and that seems to help with the gas....but from what I have read the gas is normal until their digestive systems mature a little. So....gas drops and gripe water help when he gets fussy. Good luck.
