Quoting kacixoxo*love my jace*:“ ive been breastfeeding since my son was born (5 weeks) and im having to switch to formula, so im wondering ... [snip!] ... so im wondering what formula is the easiest transition from breastmilk? also, is it okay to try different types of formula?”
Quoting MummyTummy:“ I have to switch to formula soon as well. My pediatrician said it didnt' really matter which formula ... [snip!] ... will take it yuo should stick with that formula. If you need to switch to another one, yuo should do so slowly and gradually.”
Quoting kacixoxo*love my jace*:“ yeah, i think im gona go with nestle good start gentle plus someone told me its a good one for weaning from breastmilk,, im still sad about not breastfeeding though i feel like a failure...”I went through the same thing. Don't feel like a failure! You tried. Your baby will be fine. My son was breastfed for three weeks and a few days. He is a very healthy guy on formula. I beat myself up for not feeding longer from the breast longer but it was the best decision for me and my baby. My son is on Simalac Sensitive (orange label). Please just don't feel like a failure and don't let anyone make you feel that way. You are making the choice that will be best for the both of you.

Quoting Scarlett's iTaLiAn Mama:“ How many ounces should 2 month old be eating in a 24 hour period??? My DD will be 2 months on the 9th ... [snip!] ... from 9-12 hours a night. Is 20 ounces enough in 24 hours?? (I guess if she wakes up by 8am, she'll have another 5 ounces...)”
Quoting NOAH MICHAEL 6/5/09☼:“ thats about what my doc said is normal for a 1-2 month old baby. no worries!”
Quoting kacixoxo*love my jace*:“ yeah, i think im gona go with nestle good start gentle plus someone told me its a good one for weaning from breastmilk,, im still sad about not breastfeeding though i feel like a failure...”You are no failure!!!! I know it is hard not to feel that way though. I have to stop BFing in 2 weeks (because I go back on a medication that I HAVE to be on). I've known since before I got pregnant that I would probably not be able to BF at all. I am happy I got two months, but I am starting to cry because I know I will have to stop soon. I will miss it a lot. But having a healthy mom around is more important, and formula will work just fine.
