If shes taking it then i would say yes. Also maybe heat up some water in the microwave and put the bottle in that to warm it up. I used to do that with my breast milk when i pumped. I do powdered formula now.

My daughter get's gas bubbles in her stomach very easily. First i used playtex drop in's and they didnt work as well as playtex ventair. She is now on Similac Sensitive and that really helped. She is 7 weeks and drinks 6 oz every 3 hours. She is a now a good eater and sleeper!

I too use Drop Ins. If I pre make formula I just steam it in my warmer in a Avent bottle and pour it over in the Drop In. Its really not that bad. It may sound crazy but it works for me. The formula is already pre measured in the Avent bottles in the fridge, then steam, then pour in Drop In! Not too bad. If I am using powder I just use warm tap water.

I don't know if this has been asked or not. I am currently breastfeeding and my 7-week-old gets one bottle of breastmilk a day (currently). In 3 weeks I need to stop breastfeeding and switch to bottled milk, and then formula (after we go through the enormous amount of pumped milk I have in the freezer). Right now, we store pumped milk in the fridge before we feed it to her. In the future, I will defrost frozen milk in the fridge overnight. My question is this: how do you calm a screaming baby in the middle of the night while you are getting the bottle ready? The one bottle a day she gets right now is at night and she is usually awake before she wants to eat, so I can tell when she is getting hungry and start warming right away. But in the middle of the night (and during the day) she just wakes up crying. Harder for me and her dad to deal with while we are standing there waiting for milk to warm up. At least when we switch to formula we can make it at room temperature.

Does she have a time that she usually eats.. for example. My daughter Ella (8 weeks old) usually eats around 11p and then her next bottle is around 4am then she doesnt eat until around 7am. Usually my body will wake me up around 4 before she starts crying. I dont breast feed, but i thought i would just give a suggestion to start thawing them out before her usual time. i dunno

No, she doesn't have a schedule yet. Some nights she sleeps 8 hours, other nights 9, 9.5, 10, etc. I kept checking on her last night because she slept 10.5 hours without one peep and I kept getting worried that she wasn't breathing!

Lucky momma!! It is nice when they sleep a few hours straight, but we can never fully sleep because we are wondering whats going on with them lol. Well, good luck to you! Oh, maybe if you browse the internet for things that will help thaw out breast milk! I think my sister-in-law has something like that!

Anyone else with a preemie?
Mine takes about 2-3oz every 3-4 hours of Similac NeoSure. She's 4weeks old (38 weeks adjusted age). When should she start wanting to take more?

Mine was a preemie and basically when he was able to finish the bottle with ease i just would add a ounce or 2. For the next bottles.

Hi, my son doesn't seem to like his milk that much anymore.
He's 10 months old. He has two bottles of milk a day, which normally adds up to 500ml/day, which is the amount his doctor said he should have. Now the last few days he never drinks it all anymore, meaning he only gets about 300-350ml/day.
We called the doctor and she said he still needs that amount of milk until he's a year old, after that he can have cheese and yoghurt etc. She suggested making the leftover milk into pudding. We tried that, he didn't like it. She also suggested getting the 'follow-up' milk (8-18 months) they sell in the supermarket instead of the regular formula, since he could just be bored with the taste of it. We tried that today, but he drank the same amount as he did the last few days. We'll try again tomorrow, but I'm not sure it will work. We also tried giving it to him in a cup instead of his bottle, but he didn't like that either.
Any other suggestions?
