That in the state of KY you can not get your tubes tied unless your 21 yrs old. I didn't and boy was I a tad bit upset when my Dr told me that today. Simply, because I want my tubes tied. I have my son and my daughter and another girl on the way though my SO and I are giving full guardinship of this LO to my sister because she can not have children due to medical problems and my SO and I do good to have $50 left of both of our paychecks each week which normally goes into savings or towards bills we owe on. As of now I am 99.9 % sure I don't want anymore children until my two now are in grade school maybe older. Minera did not work for me because I have bad scar tissue from my previous c sections. Impalon is not an option because my Dr and I don't agree with it. Nuva ring is also not an option because of the side effects it took on me therefore my only option going back on the pill. Which I may ask her about seasonique.

In some states I think you have to be 25.

Twenty-one with 2 children. That's why I REFUSE to have another child until I'm "of age". If I do get pregnant before that, SOs getting the big snip.

What about the patch?

i think its the same in cali my mom said im too young..... not to get off topic but wont it be wierd having your sis raise your baby and she will not call you mom you are doing it for a good reason and i think thats great due to the fact your sis can have kids but how do you planning on dealing with it gd luck to you

Umm Implanon has the same hormones as mirena.

I dont understand why you would concider Mirena and not Implanon?

I'm sorry, I think that is stupid. Anyone over the legal age of 18 should be able to make that decision. For me personally- if I had 2 kids by age 21 I would want them tied immediately

We're a very close family. My mom had to do that when she had my older brother. She gave custody to her parents. My brother knew why he didn't live with my mom still called my mom "mom".

To be honest at first I was kinda weird about it but we both know we want to start explaining things early on. We don't plan on keeping it a secret from her or anyone else for that matter. We want her to know and understand why we are doing what we are and that she is special enough to have 2 mommies and a daddy. I'm the mommy that loves her enough to give more than my SO and I can offer at the moment and she lives with the mommy that has more unconditional love than she knows what to do wit and no one to share it with.

Implanon does not have hormones where as Minera does and I believe the side effects are somewhat different.

Hmm well that was what I was told, they are both progesterone.

I have had no side effects from mine, but from what I read the side effects are the same.

I love mine, and I really haven't seen many people say they didn't.


ETA: Implanon is etonogestrel, and Mirena is levonorgestrel. From what I read the Mirena one just puts less hormones. I have heard way worse things about Mirena though.
