HOMG My boobs hurt soooooo bad.... Not my nipples, not that raw feeling, but like my breast.... all of it... ugh, is this me making more milk or something?

They are still soft and Lucia just nursed off both sides (miraculously, she is now sleeping) but damn it kind of burns like...

Hey ladies,

I have a question about the ins and outs of BF when pregnant. I know I can and plan too but won't that mean baby #2 won't get colostrum? Can I pump and store ahead of time or should I wait? And any other advice you ladies have !!!

Oh by the way me and DS have been BF for 15 months strong

I always get that feeling right before I start leaking. Maybe it's your let down?

It happens right after I feed/pump... like suddenly I need more milk or something! It's painful and annoying.

I am currently almost 11 weeks pregnant and still breastfeeding my 16 month old. I'm not sure I would recommend pumping as your milk does change while your pregnant. It is not the same as the milk your newborn will be receiving when you have your baby. No matter what you do at some point in the third trimester your milk will turn into colostrum.

Adventures in Tandem Nursing is a great book I really recommend reading.

The changes in milk are not harmful to your nursling now- They resemble the typical changes that happen as nursing slows & the weaning process begins- Higher protein content, higher sodium... But I do not think it is the best option for a newborn.

I keep getting mixed answers on BF poop... on here y'all say it's normal not to poop everyday... but la leche league keeps telling me not only is it bad not to poop everyday, it's dangerous! And she should have like 4 dirty diapers a day...

I'm getting worried and confused...

Under a month old poop every day - after a month old poop whenever.

If your baby is under 1 month & goes 24 hrs without a poop, consult a lactation consultant.
