Umm... you can breastfeed with thrush, but treatment for mom & baby is important...

I posted on here last week about my newborn having dark green poop.. well i started block feeding and within 3-4 days his poop was yellow and then today his poop is dark green again.. im still block feeding but i have noticed that i feel fuller like my milk supply has increased.... im not engorged or anything but im fuller if that makes any sense..
i was thinking of trying to feed him from one side for 2 feedings,,, would that help fix the problem?

I would continue block feeding then. At least 2 nursing sessions on each side until your milk regulates. I had to do the same thing.

Finally got Liam to take some boob juice from a bottle. It was the first batch I have ever scalded. I dont know if thats why he took it or the fact that I wasn't here, it was just him and daddy.

SO said he was awful agitated last night while I was at a potential job. Soon as I got home he was super happy. Not sure if a job is a good idea. I dont want SO to lose out on sleep since he has to work early.

7 months and still EBF. Still not sure if I want to start solids.

Its a good thing is you have over active lipase.

Makes your milk taste sour after you freeze it, my son wont take it. Scalding it stops that enzyme.

Thank you for this bit of advice. I have this (didn't know until now) do you scald it before or after you freeze it? DD is 8 months and I quit freezing BM (only pump the bare min and hope that is enough) because it was getting wasted and I hate seeing BM wasted. LOL I would LOVE to start building up a supply again though so that we have milk on hand if needed for a emergency.

Hi I haven't been on in a while sorry, but we have been EXTREMELY busy. Brooke is now 8 months old and still mainly EBF, we do give her table food (she refuses baby food) though she only eats a few bite usually. At her last WIC appointment which was right before Halloween she weighed in at 22 lbs and 27". She has mastered crawling and is pulling up on any and every thing, she is also starting to cruise around furniture. The last week she has been teething so finally she may have teeth. Here is a picture of her from last night during bath time.

Do you put anything in the bottom of the bathtub?

We haven't yet, but plan to. For now I just kneel on the floor right next to her.

I think I have this too. None of my kids would take my frozen milk. I have about 16 oz in the freezer right now that will probably just get tossed. I even tried to use milk I pumped in the morning and by that night it smelled off and ds refused it. Maybe its the bottle too, it seems too huge like he cant get a good latch on it either.
What bottle brands are good for nursers?? We were trying Advent and Gerber, so far not working. I might try scalding the milk next too. Grr
