You actually can develop an allergy at any point in your life. It happens to people all of the time. My Mom for instance seemed to be fine eating mushrooms and breads for her whole life. Then one day she had an awful allergy attack and darn near died. After her allergy testing it came back she was allergic to molds and yeast. No more Coors Lite for her!LOL!

Wow okay, Ill cut dairy first then, they say thats the most common.

How long does it take to leave the system exactly?

Expect at least a week before you start seeing differences. I'd advise you to keep a food diary and take note of his eczema and behaviour too. Make sure you check packaging of pre-prepared food because you'd be surprised just how much has milk products in it.

I promise you pumping will only make it worse. It might work in the short term, but in the long term its telling your body to make more and more. The sooner you stop, the easier it'll be.

Takes about 2 weeks to leave your system and then another 2 weeks to leave your lo's. I would go to this site:
www.godairyfree.org
It has a list of all the alternative names for milk and also products you can buy and use that are truly milk free. I had to go dairy and soy free for my lo for about 6 months. It was tough, but it made a world of difference for her tummy!
I hope it helps your lo!

Anyone seem to have the problem of their baby just playing with their nipple when they try and feed? She usually eats, stops halfway through and just rubs her lips against it before she gets frustrated at me for trying to put it back in her mouth.

That's what I think but then she'll cry when i put it away and doesn't stop even after burping, changing, just when I offer it again. Then there are times she just lays her head on it and goes to sleep.

Mine came back at 13 months. Some people can go almost 2 years. It just depends on your body. I say enjoy it while it's gone.
