Does anyone have any experience with pumping while at work..........I am done with Maternity leave on Wed and going back to work full time M-F 7:30-4 so will be pumping during the day! I am so afraid I won't be able to keep up! I by no means over produce milk, if I pump after Aiden has eaten I might get 1 oz. And yesterday I pumped after 3 hours of him not eating and I barely got 3 oz!!!! That really worries me! I know he is only eating 2 1/2-3 oz when he has a bottle!! Any suggestion would be great! I also work at a hospital so they supply hospital grade pumps I just have to bring the tubing and part so maybe that will be better then my Pump in Style??

I really didn't want to make a new thread...hopefully someone can help me in here. I had breastfeeding achievement ribbons on my page and now they aren't there. The website that used to have them, Gynosaur.com apparently is not there anymore, so all the ribbons are no longer there from that site. I have seen the same issue on other people's pages.
Well...I saved the ribbons on my computer from photobucket. But they are not labeled or in order, so I need to know what order they go in?
Can anyone help?

My 7 month old has her top and bottom front teeth, and has been nipping me a lot.
Not a full out bite but almost like she isn't paying attention sometimes.
Is there anything I can try to help stop the bites? Or help my nipple out?
So far no cracking, just sore. Thanks!

Quoting dream:" i like how they do a height to weight comparison instead of the height to age and weight to age charts. seems more realistic. like with adults, we always do height to weight comparisons, not to age."

Yea i saw a height to weight one in the CDC one before? I printed one out. But yea height to age i don't like either. things are based on genes as well ya know? Just the fact they have charts for breastfed babies makes me so happy. Now i can see where my son lies in how he is fed.

Brooke will be 5 months on Friday and is still this way. She is fine when I am gone (I work), but if I am home she wants me.

Most women only get .5-2oz combined at each pumping session. I use my pump in style, I LOVE it. I pup first thing in the morning, once at work, and then sometimes right before bed. If you can take some pics of baby to look at while pumping (may help with letdown) Also know baby only needs 1-1.25oz per hour of separation. And try to nurse right before you leave and again right when you get home. GL

I was reading some of the comments in the article about the growth charts posted in this thread. Some people were upset because their formula fed baby would be compared to breastfed babies. Now, If I were a formula feeding mom, I would be GLAD that the medical profession was judging my child based on the BIOLOGICAL NORM for infant/child feeding. Maybe that would also help push for further regulation and better nutrition for my child if I HAD to use formula. I just don't understand some people.

Are you serious? Our breastfed children get compared to formula fed children all the time. As long as your child gets fed who cares? I mean I don't compare my child to anyone really. As long as he is eating and healthy

8 months EBF   DS still prefers boob over EVERYTHING. He will not take a bottle, will not take a sippy, doesn't eat a lot of food either. He will eat some then start blowing it out of the spoon. He does like cereal puffs a lot though. He likes water but will only drink it if you poor it in his mouth.

Also, he has 2 teeth halfway in on bottom and a third coming in on top. He has been biting me lately and it hurts! I end up sticking my finger in his mouth to make him quit. My nipples aren't sore after thank goodness. Any suggestions to get him to take food or a sippy? And to stop biting?

Fortunately food isn't a big deal until after he's turned 1. Right now it's all about discovering different textures and tastes. Just keep offering and eventually he'll get the hang of it. As for the sippy, have you tried a soft spout or a straw spout? My DD has been using a soft spout sippy from day one. However, she still doesn't drink it half the time. She'll suck it out and let it dribble down her shirt. I'm guessing eventually she'll start to drink more of the water
And as for biting. If he's not actively nursing, watch him and make sure he doesn't clamp down. If he does, put the boob away. You kinda have to do it a few times before the get the picture..biting=no boob.

I've tried all different kinds of sippys! And thanks for the advice, especially with the biting part.
