thought this was interesting! I'm still reading up on it, but wanted to share:
new growth charts!
http://blogs.babycenter.com/mom_stories/07262012new-recommended-growth-chart-for-babies/

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) are recommending the new World Health Organization (WHO) growth chart to measure all children under the age of 2 in the United States. This growth chart will replace the CDC growth chart that has been used since 2000.
The WHO growth chart is unique in that it:
1. Reflects the normal growth curve of a breastfed infant.
According to the CDC: “The WHO charts reflect growth patterns among children who were predominantly breastfed for at least 4 months and still breastfeeding at 12 months.”
2. The WHO growth chart is a better reflection of physiological growth in infancy.
3. The new charts are the result of a worldwide high quality study designed specifically to create growth charts.

nope. my little guy has always been very social and independent. I think it's just his personality.

we EBFd for 12m and he is still nursing at 29m.

how old? Separation anxiety is a very good sign of secure attachment, and usually occurs between 8 and 18m, but not exclusively. Basically, you WANT your baby to feel secure to you, their primary caregiver. Not being securely attached is a bad bad thing.

I know it can be overwhelming and people are saying your baby is 'clingy', but developmentally it is crucial.

well when you put it like that .. lol

Yes, Finn is super attached to me, in the fact that I'm his #1 person, but he is not physically attached to me all the time and does enjoy the company of other people, including going places with them (although some things have developed over time, since he IS 29m old now.)

She is only 2 months old. I am home with her all day and even though her dad is home at nights I pretty much am the only one who takes care of her. Sometimes she doesn't mind going with other people but sometimes as soon as i hand her to SO or my mom she screams bloody murder until they give her back to me and then she is 100% fine and calm. If I leave her sight well she is sitting with her dad or hanging out in her bouncy/swing she will scream as well.

I just didn't think it would start this young. I love her being a mommy's girl though.

She just loves ya!   Enjoy it, soon she'll decide she's too big for cuddles and being with mom isn't cool, hahah.

To some degree. If you ask my Mom she'll tell you that J is "way to attached to me".

I like this one, it puts my son in 90th percentile height for weight, whereas he was like 50-75 in the CDC growth chart

i like how they do a height to weight comparison instead of the height to age and weight to age charts. seems more realistic. like with adults, we always do height to weight comparisons, not to age.
