I would time him for 3 minutes, then pop the paci in. If he spit it out or wanted more, I'd nurse a little longer, but usually he was fine with 3 minutes. I didn't do this for EVERY nursing session, but for most of them during that time (3-6m old ??) He ate quite often though, about every hour.

I've never heard of that. I have both bottlefed and BFd a baby in a moving car (while they were still strapped in to their carseat of course)
