Quoting Thorian's Mommy:" So i posted earlier how im being super paranoid cuz LO is only drinking 20oz or less a day. i mainly ... [snip!] ... nurse off from me. I know he snt starving but is this really healthy for him??? should i force him to eat more boobie juice???"If he is gaining fine & urinates enough, it is fine. 25 oz is average but the range is 19-32 oz.

Quoting Love Wedge +2:" Just thought I'd share this. He has such a grip lol. Also a question. When would be the best time ... [snip!] ... I'd like to get some going again. I haven't pumped, really, since I stopped EP so I don't know how it goes while BF. Thanks "The best time is whenever it works well for you & your baby. If he falls back to cuing every 3-4 hrs )because I know you said he was eating more often in recent posts), then I'd suggest you work it in between feeds since more frequent stimulation is best for supply &you are more likely to get better output so pumping is not as disappointing. If you are doing single side feedings, you can pump the other side either during or after a feed also (my 1st would tolerate me pumping while nursing, my 2nd would not & would kick & squirm) - and mornings often has highest yield for that since prolactin levels peak at night - between 1-2am, but that is often not an ideal time for most to be pumping.
Quoting Sofia's Mummy♥:" <blockquote><b>Quoting We made a BabyBumpBelly:</b>" I am trying to up my supply. I ... [snip!] ... I can't help you that much as I've never had supply issues. Getting baby to the breast as much as possible is the best way."Because when I pump, I barely get 2 ml total.
Quoting Sofia's Mummy♥:" <blockquote><b>Quoting We made a BabyBumpBelly:</b>" Because when I pump, I barely ... [snip!] ... Do you need to be pumping to build up a stash? Is baby gaining weight (any gain is good), putting out 6 wet diapers per day?"Agreed. I was super lucky if I got 5mL when I first started pumping with #1 & yet he was gaining like crazy. So if you are nursing full time & getting 2 mL, that isn't an indication of low supply. I've known moms who EBF & got nothing at when they tried to pump. The older baby gets too, if you keep trying to pump, the more you will get with pumping.
Quoting sillygirltracyb_caius1222:" So my parents are here and I pumped alot yesterday bc I had a hair appointment and worked some.. my pumping ... [snip!] ... . I was sad he had bottles all day also bc my DD birthday was yesterday and went out to eat. .. I didnt nurse him until 10p.."Don't feel guilty. When they are small pumping can be easier sometimes for some moms. With my 2nd I was amazed at how easily I could pump. I didn't do it very often though because in the end it ends up being more work when you do that every day, plus over time supply is much harder to keep up with. If you had an easier day yesterday, enjoy it, don't feel bad about that one bit. It is nice to catch a break once & a while for sure.
Quoting amor♥:" Is there anyway to travel with a large of BM, keeping it frozen?"Dry ice. Not on a plane though - you'd want to ship ahead or something.
