Okay that seriously blows. I'm sorry. I hope it's just a false negative blood test.

I read, you have a higher risk of miscarrying within the 3-6 months after having a m/c. Depending on how far along you were at the time of loss would judge how hard it is on your body. Pregnancy causes a lot to happen so quickly that even a loss at 6 week or whatever is rough on the body, but obviously one at 14 weeks is a little tougher since your body has started rearranging its insides more at that point.

I'm sorry mama. Did they try a urine test too? I've never heard of a false positive on a digital. I hope baby sticks for you! If it was me I'd take another test. lol

Thanks, the one in December I was 6 weeks and this time I was only 4 weeks. I've read a lot that it's ok to try right after. Then I don't know if I don't ever get a normal AF. I'm hoping my referral is still valiad and I can get into the OB/GYN.

I had a chemical pregnancy in November and my OB told me that I did not need to wait to TTC again. He said chemical pregnancies are VERY common (like 30% or something) and that its nothing at all wrong with your body. Its something wrong with the cells and usually a chromosome abnormality. He said it poses no risk to future pregnancies and is not an indicator that anything is wrong with YOU. He said a miscarriage before 6 weeks (before a heartbeat) is not considered any sort of risk. I dont know how far along you were in December but if it was the same deal, I wouldnt think you have anything to worry about nor would you need to wait.

My doctor did some bloodwork as soon as I got a positive this time around JUST to rule out progesterone deficiency. But he said that was just being overly cautious because lack of sufficient progesterone wouldnt make you miscarry until after 6 weeks (and mine was like 4 weeks and 5 days).

Slytherin's Heiress just had a "false positive" on her digital. Though it was more than likely a chemical pregnancy.

Agreed. That's exactly what I have been told, and what I have found on the research I have done.

Add: tip for telling if a faint blue dye is a pos, is if one side of the line is darker. blue dye positives tend to be darker on one side.
