Official Contest Host is the second advanced feature and allows members access to our unique in-house contest software.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of contests being run on our site and the painstaking process of hosting one, it was an obvious choice to streamline this process for our members.

The software allows you to preview all of the entries up frontrather than scrolling through all the posts as well as allowing the host to reject submissions (and re-approve as desired if the submission is edited correctly).

After the host decides that there are enough submissions and has approved them all,the host can then choose to have the contest run w/ one or two roundsas well as selecting how many winners there are for each round.

The host can decide if the votes are public, private, and when the results are revealed.

Private votes = voters listed but their votes are not specified.
Public votes = voters listed in associate w/ their vote(s).
Results can be revealed at the end or progressively updated throughout automatically.

There is an easy-to-use voting interfacewhich tallies and displays the contest's progress in a similar fashion to the currently existing polls.

After voting commences, the host decides how long to let voting run for, which is presumably until they're satisfied w/ the number of votes received.
After which point, they can end the contest-- automatically announcing the winners.

The host will also have the option to cancel the contest at any time as well as disqualify entries and votes as needed.*
*note: any disqualified voters will be viewable by any member to prevent the possibility of OP favoritism

I love it, A LOT.I wish there was a way it would automatically send out a new thread or announcement when voting starts.Other than that,it is perfect!

I love it, but I think it would be even more awesome if it sent out a notification when voting was put up, instead of just a title change.

I like it so far. It's making my gag contest a LOT easier to run than it was last year.

The real issue I've seen is in voting you have to click preview on each entry to really see anything.

Besides that it's pretty cool

I love it, The only thing I found that I didn't like and maybe it was just me that did not figure this out, but I could not edit the topic name.

Something came up in a contest...

If there is any way, when an entry is disqualified, the host should get the option to allow those who voted for the disqualified entry to revote, that would be fabulous

it would be awesome if there was a bump button or something like that, like how people type bump to bring it to the front on the forms page, that would be amazing
if it could just to that with out haveing to type bump!

I like the new contest feature, but a LOT of mama told me it makes them not want to look at all the entries.....
other than that it's great!!! especially for the contest holder!

yeah, that was an obvious FAIL on our part-- to have a "show all" option.
