re: 1st u/s today..measuring 3 weeks behind.

A year later, my story is nearly identical. LMP was 12/18/10, HPT was positive on 1/20/11, edd 9-27-11. Went for first u/s today, and they said baby is measuring 4 weeks behind (6wks instead of 10) Problem with that is that I was already experiencing symptoms, and had + hpt & bpt before they are saying that I actually conceived. I'm scared! and wondering how did your experience turn out?

I too am in the same boat. My LMP was 12/23/10. HPT was positive on 1/24/11 with expected due date 9/29. I went to my first ultrasound last Tuesday when I should have been 8 weeks 5 days, but the baby is only measuring 6 weeks 2 days. There is a heartbeat, but was only measured at 80 bpm. My doctor is thinking that I just ovulated really late, which could be the case since I have PCOS; however, if that is true then when I took my HPT I was only a little bit pregnant and I'm not sure how it showed up so soon. I am really nervous, and a follow up ultrasound has been scheduled for 3/4. Are you having another u/s soon?

When I got my first U/S I though I was 9 weeks, they said I was only 6w3d. In all reality I was 6w6d. You never know with early U/S.

aww good luck mama! I've been there, it's so frustrating. If they saw a yolk sac and fetal pole, that a good thing! I had an u/s at 5wks 5days and they were able to see the heartbeat and I was completly amazed because I thought it was impossible that early. Keep us posted!

i went for a scan at what i thought was 12 weeks only to be told i was 9 weeks. ive gone over my dates several times and i cant figure it out. i must be going crazy but all i do know is this baby will come when it comes lol. i cant wait x x

Turns out I was 4 weeks behind because baby died  I had a D&C

I too lost my baby. We went for another ultrasound a week after our first one and found out the baby had died. I opted for the pills to help me miscarry, but they didn't work. I then scheduled a D&C only to naturally miscarry on 3/10 the day before my scheduled surgery. I am so sorry for your lost, this is the most difficult I have ever been through.

i am sorry if this brings up old memmories for those that had miscarriages, i have had a miscarriage in the past and understand that hurt, i am right now also going thru the measuring behind and i know i could have ovulated late and all as my cycle had just gotten back on track from breastfeeding, i am curious to know that all of you this happened to how many of you actually had healthy babies, i should be 8 weeks and was measuring 5 weeks 4 days, there was a sac and what the tech thought to be the start of a fetal pole, i intend on calling my drs tomorrow to get my blood results from a few weeks back to figure everything out, this is our surprise baby as we had decided not to have anymore after our daughter was born and then this baby has been a very happy surprise, im not sure we could handle another miscarriage at this point but if that is in our cards then we have to
